Contemporary hairstyles is too various and individual to be explained by an objective theory and an asthetic appraisal. Consequently, this study is to understand the various expression of contemporary hairstyles on the basis of Craig Owens's post-structural theory. The results of this study are following as: Firstly, it represented the feature of decentralization through duplication and imitation expanding the meaning of "borrow". This caused to happen Parody, Pastiche, Kitsch. Secondly, it represent Sthrough potential shape or energetic design. This expects the modeling which is done by movements of the wind or body using the length and texture of hair. In other words it represents the hairstyles in potential shape not in the exact shape. Lastly, there are notions of accumulation and line-up. This is connecting this and that which are not related to each other and makes a new genre. That was represented in colage of hairstyles.
