We report a case of X-linked ichthyosis in a 19 year-old male patient who has been covered with brown to black colored thick scales on the lateral aspect of chest, upper abdomen and inner aspect of both extremities since one month at, birth. Histopathologic findings showed hyperkeratosis and papillomatosis with normal granular cell layers in the epidermis. On electron microscopy, multilayered keratins with increased melanosomes in the stratum corneum were noted. In his family, his cousin is also affected by the same disease. Tattooing has been performed the for cosmetic purpose by many beautician in the beauty parlors without having been any medicalknowledge. This has resulted in various serious complications. One patient is a 56-year-old female, who had been developed pruritic erythernstous indurated plaques on the tattooing sites about 3 months after getting tattoo. Skin biopsy findings revealed granulomatous inflamrnation and patch test showed positive reaction to potsssiurn dichromate. The other patient is a 55-year-old female, who had been developed erythematous papules on the both lips of tattooing sites about 1 year after getting tattoo. Skin biopsy findings revealed lichenoid resction. Patch test showed positive reactions to reornycin eulfate and nickel sulfate. Patch test of as is revealed positive reactions to red color.
건선과 습진성 피부질환에서 Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen 과 Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor의 면역조직화학적 연구

Psoriasis and eczematous dermatitis are two major different inflarnmtory dermatitis but differential diagnosis is sometimes difficult by histologic patterns. The object of this study is to find out whether there are any differences in the expressions of proliferation related pntein between psoriasis and eczematous dermatitis by chronological evaluation on the proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR). The detections of PCNA and EGFR were done by immunohistoc.ienical methods(alkaline phosphatase anti-alkaline phosphatase method with new fuchsin substrated usir g respective polyclonal antibod ies in the paraffin embedded tissue from psoriasis(21 cases) and eczomtous dermatitis(26 cases). The labelling indeces of PCNA were 2.4+0.9% in normal. Indece; were 27.3+2.9% in acute, 20.7+ 3.7% in chronic psoriasis, while 12.4+5.6% in acute and 21.8% 5.0% in chronic eczematous dermtitis. The expressions of EGFR were very weak in normal, and increased in acute psoriasis and chronic eczematous dermatitiy. Our immunohistochemical results of PCNA and EGFR suggest that activated proliferation is rather pronounced in acute psoriasis and chronic eczemat.ous dermatitis, thouh proliferative activity is more marked in psoriasis. 간세포 성장인자와 표피 성장인자가 각질형성세포의 이동과 Fibronectin 분비에 미치는 영향

During cutaneous wound healing, re-epithelialization undergoes by the migration and proliferation of keratinocytes(KC) at the wound site. Signals for the stimulation of KC include biologically active substances such as growth factors, chemotatic factors and changes in molecular structure of extracelluar matrix. migration and proliferation of KC are stimulated by fibronectin and soluble growth factors such as hepatocyte growth factor(HGF) and epidermal growth factor(EGF). This study was performed to investigate the effect of HGF on keratinocyte migration and whether fibronection secretion correlate to stimulation of the KC migration by HGF and /or EGF. Primary kertinocytes culture from neonatal foreskins were done using the complete M154 medium. We performed the quantitative analysis of KC migration by cell count with Giemsa stain and the fibronectin secretion of media by sandwich-ELISA method after half-removal of cultured monolayer KC in 6 well plate. The results were as follows : 1. The number of migrated KC were 57.7±11.05 with HGF(2.5ng/ml), 55.5±7.06 with EGF(10ng/ml), 234.7±19.79 with HGC(2.5ng/ml) and EGF(10ng/ml) while 30.1±9.37 without HGF and EGF, respectively after 24 hours. HGF and and/or significantly increased KC migration compared with the control(P<0.05). 2. The fibronectin secretion of KC in KBM(keratinocyte basal media) were observed 10.0±0.82 ng/ml/3.8×10^4 cell with HGF(2.5ng/ml), 10.8±0.5 ng/ml/5.3×10^4 cell with EGF(10ng/ml), 21.5±0.58 ng/ml/6.2×10^4 cell with HGF and EGF. Compare with the control, HGF and/or EGF significantly increased fibronectin secretion after 24 hour(P<0.05). Therefore, HGF and/or EGF increased both the migration and fibronectin secretion of keratinocyte significantly compared with control group(P<0.005). In addition, synergistic effect of HGF with EGF was also observed in cultured human keratinocytes.
