Intelligent Parking Assist System in this paper is confined to the device that reduces the driver’s efforts by carrying through the following three steps instead of driver: searching the available parking space using ultrasonic sensors, calculating parking course to empty parking lot, and steering automatically with using Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. This paper considers the development of algorithm for searching function to improve driver’s usability in Intelligent Parking Assist System. It is suggested the left/right combination searching, parking mode auto detection and bidirectional communication HMI. This algorithm has been validated the feasibility in the Hardware-in-the-loop simulator.

<P>IL-33 (IL-1F11) is a member of IL-1 family ligand, which stimulates the production of inflammatory cytokines. IL-33 receptor complex is comprised of IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP) and ST2 that are activated by IL-33 ligand binding. ST2 is a ligand-binding chain of the IL-33 receptor component, and the soluble ST2 form possesses antagonistic activity. Here, we expressed the extracellular domain of ST2-fused to the immunoglobulin of IgG1 constant region in order to generate a soluble recombinant Fc-ST2. Human and mouse recombinant Fc-ST2 protein were expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells and purified using a mini-protein A affinity chromatography. The recombinant Fc-ST2 protein was used to examine inhibitory function in IL-33-induced cytokine production in different cell types. The human Fc-ST2 abolished IL-33-induced IL-8 production in human mast cells, but mouse Fc-ST2 failed to inhibit IL-33-induced TNFα production in mouse Raw 264.7 macrophage cells. We further investigated the expression of IL-33 receptor component with various cell lines. IL-33 receptors expression pattern and Fc-ST2 inhibitory activity in different cell types suggest that IL-1RAcP and ST2 are necessary but insufficient for IL-33 activity. Our results suggest that an additional receptor component may participate in the biological activity of IL-33.</P>
Undrained Shear Behavior of Sandy Soil Mixtures

지반공학에서 흙은 흙 입자에 의한 세립분 함유율(Fc=50%)에 따라 모래와 점토로 분류되며, 그들의 역학적 거동에 의해 설계가 이루어진다. 그러나, 모래-점토 혼합토는 일반적으로 intermediate soils로 불리어, 모래나 점토로 쉽게 구분할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 비율을 갖는 실리카모래 세립혼합토에 대하여 정적비배수 전단시험을 수행하였고, 미리 계산된 에너지의 다짐방법과 예압밀법을 이용하여 모래부터 점토에 이르는 폭넓은 범위의 흙 구조에 대해 공시체를 준비하였다. 한계 세립함유율 보다 작은 혼합토의 전단강도는 세립분이 증가할수록 증가하며 최대 축차응력비는 조밀한 시료에 대하여 감소하고 느슨한 시료에 대하여 증가한다. 그 후, 골격간극비의 개념을 이용하여 혼합토의 단조 전단강도를 평가하였으며. 이에, 혼합토의 전단강도는 모래입자가 이루는 골격구조에 밀접한 관계가 있음을 알았다. In the part of geotechnical engineering, soils are classified as either the coarse grained soil or the fine-grained soil following the fine content(Fc=50%) according to the granularity, and appropriate design codes are used respectively to represent their mechanical behaviour. However, sand-clay mixtures, which are typically referred to as intermediate soils, cannot be easily categorized as either sand or clay. In this study, several monotonic undrained shear tests were carried out on Silica sand fine mixtures with various proportions, and a wide range of soil structures, ranging from one with sand dominating the soil structure to one with fines controlling the behaviour, were prepared using compaction method or pre-consoldation methods in prescribed energy. The shear strength of mixtures below the threshold fines content is observed that as the fines content increases, maximum deviator stress ratio decrease for dense samples while an increase is noted for loose samples. Then, by using the concept of fines content and granular void ratio, the monotonic shear strength of the mixtures was estimated. It was found that the shear behavior of mixtures is greatly dependent on the skeleton structure of sand particles.

Recently steering technology focuses on not only driver뭩convenience, fuel efficiency, environment friendliness but also improved vehicle stability. However EPS(Electric Power Steering) basically has constant steering ratio therefore it has a limitation to control vehicle stability. Meanwhile SBW(Steer-by-Wire) system could have all of the advantages of EPS and control vehicle behavior with better controllability, but SBW can not reach to mass-production due to reliability in case of failures, high cost for the complicated fault tolerant means and a legal restriction that steering wheel must be mechanically linked to the front wheel. Therefore AFS(Active Front Steering) has been widely studied in the automotive industry, which can provide variable gear ratio and improved vehicle stability.

연약지반의 압밀 침하는 침하속도를 예측하거나 수치 해석적 기법에 대한 것에 집중되어 있으며 실내시험으로부터 추정된 압축특성에 대해 계측결과 등을 이용하여 재평가하려는 시도는 매우 적다. 영산강 하구지역에서 분포하는 해성점토에 대하여 실내 표준 압밀시험, 현장에서 약 3년 동안 축적된 층별침하계, 간극수압계, 지하수위계의 계측결과를 바탕으로 한 현장계측 압밀곡선, 그리고 침하해석 프로그램인 PLAXIS를 이용한 연직 배수재가 설치된 지반의 성토이력에 따른 역 해석으로 압축성을 비교 하였다. 여러 제약조건에도 불구하고 현장계측결과에 의해 평가된 현장계측 압밀곡선은 표준압밀시험 결과와 비교적 잘 일치하였다. Compressibility of the marine clay was mainly studied velocity of consolidation and numerical analysis by this time but studies of reevaluated from the field measurement data was a little. For last three years, areal fills and extensive field instrumentations including settlement and pore water pressure were performed in the site of the Youngsan River estuary site, South Korea. From the settlement data, field consolidation curves for sub-layers were reconstructed. Effective surcharge loads during the staged loadings were calculated using the fill heights and the excess pore water pressures in the ground. In the numerical analysis (PLAXIS), prefabricated vertical drains were also simulated. Laboratory, field, and numerical analysis showed good agreements in compressibility. Due to different conditions and limitations of the clay was the same range of the oedometer tests.
Shear Strength of Intermediate Soils with Different Types of Fines and Sands

In this paper, a series of monotonic undrained shear tests were carried out on four kinds of sand-fine mixtures with various fines content. Two kinds of sands (Silica sand V3, V6) and fines (Iwakuni natural clay, Tottori silt) were mixed together in various proportions, while paying attention to the void ratio expressed in terms of sand structure (Fc≤Fcth). The undrained shear strength of mixtures below the threshold fines content was observed so that as the plastic fines content increases, maximum deviator stress ratio decrease for dense samples while an increase is noted for loose samples. For non-plastic fines, the increase in the amount of fines leads to an increase in density of the soil, which results in an increase in strength. Then, the monotonic shear strength of the mixtures was estimated using the concept of granular void ratio. It was found that the shear strength of mixtures is greatly dependent on the skeleton structure of sand particles.

Smart Parking Assistance System(SPAS) is confined to the device that reduces the driver’s efforts by carrying through the following three steps instead of driver: searching the vacant space with ultrasonic sensors, calculating parking course to detected parking lot, and steering automatically with using Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. Now, the manufactures are developing the automatic parking assist system that control automatically not only EPS, but driveline, brake and transmission to increase the driver’s convenience and safety. In this pater, Remote Smart Parking Assist System(R-SPAS) based on ultrasonic sensors is integrated EPS system, driveline, brake and transmission. And it is controlled by smart device automatically. Human Machine Interface (HMI) and smart device display are designed to inform the user of vehicle state, operation, sound. It helps the user visibility and convenience. Especially, we applied the safe functions to avoid collision those although the user doesn’t recognize around obstacles such as a passing vehicle, cart and pedestrian. We verified that performance in parallel and perpendicular park scenarios using a simulation program. Also, the vehicle test results obtained from various environments on smart devices have shown the reliable performance, safety and convenience of R-SPAS.
