Optimal layout of a partially treated laminated composite magnetorheological fluid sandwich plate

In this study, the optimal location of the MR fluid segments in a partially treated laminated composite sandwich plate has been identified to maximize the natural frequencies and the loss factors. The finite element formulation is used to derive the governing differential equations of motion for a partially treated laminated composite sandwich plate embedded with MR fluid and rubber material as the core layer and laminated composite plate as the face layers. An optimization problem is formulated and solved by combining finite element analysis (FEA) and genetic algorithm (GA) to obtain the optimal locations to yield maximum natural frequency and loss factor corresponding to first five modes of flexural vibration of the sandwich plate with various combinations of weighting factors under various boundary conditions. The proposed methodology is validated by comparing the natural frequencies evaluated at optimal locations of MR fluid pockets identified through GA coupled with FEA and the experimental measurements. The converged results suggest that the optimal location of MR fluid pockets is strongly influenced not only by the boundary conditions and modes of vibrations but also by the objectives of maximization of natural frequency and loss factors either individually or combined. The optimal layout could be useful to apply the MR fluid pockets at critical components of large structure to realize more efficient and compact vibration control mechanism with variable damping.

The aim of the study was to investigate the chemopreventive potential of andrographolide in 7,12-dimethylbenz(a) anthracene (DMBA)-induced hamster buccal pouch carcinogenesis. Oral tumors developed in the buccal pouch of golden Syrian hamsters at a 100% incidence on painting with 0.5% DMBA in liquid paraffin three times a week for 14 weeks. Marked abnormalities in the status of detoxification enzymes, lipid perxodiation and antioxidants were noticed in hamsters treated with DMBA alone. Oral administration of andrographolide at a dose of 50 mg/kg bw to hamsters treated with DMBA not only completely prevented the tumor formation but also restored the status of the above mentioned biomarkers. The present study thus demonstrates the chemopreventive potential of andrographolide in DMBA-induced hamster buccal pouch carcinogenesis, which is probably due to its antioxidant potential as well as modulating effect on xenobiotic metabolising enzymes during DMBA-induced oral carcinogenesis.

This article focuses on providing remedial solutions for COVID disease through the data collection process. Recently, In India, sudden human losses are happening due to the spread of infectious viruses. All people are not able to differentiate the number of affected people and their locations. Therefore, the proposed method integrates robotic technology for monitoring the health condition of different people. If any individual is affected by infectious disease, then data will be collected and within a short span of time, it will be reported to the control center. Once, the information is collected, then all individuals can access the same using an application platform. The application platform will be developed based on certain parametric values, where the location of each individual will be retained. For precise application development, the parametric values related to the identification process such as sub-interval points and intensity of detection should be established. Therefore, to check the effectiveness of the proposed robotic technology, an online monitoring system is employed where the output is realized using MATLAB. From simulated values, it is observed that the proposed method outperforms the existing method in terms of data quality with an observed percentage of 82.
침출수의 생물학적 처리에있어서 질화 - 탈질수행중의 슬러지 반송비의 효과

침출수에서의 높은 암모니아(200-260ppm)를 처리하는 생물학적 단일 슬러지, 질화-탈질시스템에 있어서 슬러지 반송비의 효과가 조사되었다. 전체 암모니아제거가 4:1∼10:1의 반송비 증가에 의해 영향을 받지 않았지만 질화와 탈질수행들은 6:1을 초과해서는 매우 불안정하게 되었다. 같은 반송비는 또한 그 반송비의 탈질 가능성을 더 효율적으로 사용함으로써 시스템 유출에서 가장 낮은 NOx와 부유물질로 귀착되었다.
