Vehicle safety device such as active headrest and rear detection system has been developing as people are interested about rear end collision more than before. However, there is not any standard or criterion in order to evaluate vehicle safety device for rear end collision. Also there is not test protocol about rear end collision in vehicle experiment. Therefore, this research developed scenario for experiment about rear end collision in vehicle experiment. Also this research evaluated dangerousness about vehicle test and fitness about re-enacting rear end collision using scenario developed using commercial software (PC-Crash) which can re-enact vehicle collision in virtual vehicle experiment. Scenario developed according to statistics from National Highway Traffic safety Administration and German In-Depth Accident Study. Scenario has twelve cases which composed of Re-LVS (Rear end Leading Vehicle Stop), Re-LVM (Rear end Lead Vehicle Moving) and scenario for evaluation about malfunction of active headrest.

In this study, we tried to improve the oxidation resistance of Mo–3Si–1B (wt%) alloy at intermediate (800 °C) and high temperature(1300 °C) after applying Si/Al pack cementation coatings. In addition, we examined structural changes and phasechange in the intermediate and high temperature oxidizing atmospheres to observe oxidation behaviors. The diffusion packcoatings were carried out with an NH4Factivator and both Si and Al powder mixtures. Mo–Si–B alloys were subjected todiffusion coatings of Si/Al powders at various temperatures in various time conditions at a temperature of 1100 °C. Whenthe pack coatings were carried out for 48 h, Mo(Si, Al)2 and Mo3Al8layers together with a T2 (Mo5SiB2) layer were successfullysynthesized on the substrate. After oxidation tests, an Al2O3protective oxide layer was formed by the diffusionof Al in an ambient atmosphere. The Si/Al pack cementation coatings provided excellent oxidation resistance through theformation of an Al2O3oxide layer. The enhanced oxidation behaviors are discussed in terms of microstructural evolution athigh temperatures.

The effect of chemical compositon on the microstructural change and tensile property in TRIP-assisted steels with different chemical composition was investigated by using SEM, TEM, XRD and UTM. As a result of microscopic observation, the morphology of retained austenite could be identified as two types : a granular type in a steel containing higher Si and a film type in a steel having higher C. For the case of higher C-containing steel with a tensile strength of 860 ㎫ and a total elongation of 38%, film-typed retained austenite could be observed between lath bainitic ferrite. Actually, metastable retained austenite was a requisite for the good formability, which means that chemical composition plays a significant role in the microstructure and tensile property of TRIP-assisted steels. With respect to tensile property, the steels containing suitable Si and Mn, respectively, showed a typical TRIP effect in stress-strain curve, while a steel containing higher Mn content exhibited the as similar behavior shown in dual phase steel.
