The Effect of Sharia Destination Image on Developing Post-Visit Behavior: A Case Study in Indonesia

Marlizar MARLIZAR,Abdul Rahman LUBIS,Sorayanti UTAMI,Syafruddin CHAN 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.4

This study aims to develop new constructs and indicators for sharia destination image, and then examine its effects on perceived value, tourist satisfaction, and post-visit behaviour. Furthermore, it analyses the mediating role of perceived value and tourist satisfaction on relationship between sharia destination image and post-visit behaviour. The population were domestic and Malaysian Muslim tourists who visited Aceh during the study period. The sampling was carried out in two stages. The first stage involved selecting most visited districts. The second stage involved randomly selecting tourists who visit during the study period in the districts. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale. Also, a total of 270 questionnaires were distributed to domestic and Malaysian tourists in Aceh. Cluster sampling was used to determine the sample area, and purposive sampling technique was used to determine the study sample. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is Structural Equation Modelling. The results showed that the sharia destination image has a significant effect on perceived value. Meanwhile, the perceived value significantly influenced tourist satisfaction and post-visit behaviour. In addition, the perceived value and tourist satisfaction can mediate the effects of sharia destination image, which has no direct effect on post-visit behaviour.

The Influence of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Performance: A Case Study in Indonesia

EFFIYANTI, Effiyanti,LUBIS, Abdul Rahman,SOFYAN, Sofyan,SYAFRUDDIN, Syafruddin Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.2

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational performance with readiness to change and empower knowledge sharing quality as mediating variables. The survey was conducted by collecting the respondents' data by filling up forms which were designed using the google form application and collecting it using WhatsApp. This was performed on 400 respondents, encompassing employees from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control in Indonesia. The research model adopted was validated using Structural Equation Modeling technique with AMOS tool. The findings showed transformational leadership as a significant predictor of readiness to change and it proved relevant in empowering knowledge sharing quality, which in turn affects organizational performance. Furthermore, the effects of both two mediating variables was also examined, and only readiness to change significantly influenced the relationship between predictors of transformational leadership and organizational performance. The findings of this study showed the need for transformational leaders as the research focused on understanding the differences in employee character. This is required to encourage better performance by empowering quality knowledge dissemination mechanisms, with continuous in-house training activities. Therefore, the model adopted in this research and the hypotheses prove the direct effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance, achievable through the mediating role of readiness to change.

Effects of Leadership, Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance

Edwar M,NUR,Abdul Rahman LUBIS,Mirza TABRANI,Muslim A,DJALIL 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.6

Human resources development is a set of processes to improve the quality of human capabilities in achieving organizational goals. More than ever, organizations must adapt their human resources to environmental changes. This study examines and analyzes empirically the relationship between forced leadership and friendly leadership behavior and employee performance, mediated by job satisfaction and employee engagement at the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Aceh - BPBA), Indonesia. All 108 BPBA employees were selected as the study sample using the census technique. This study uses both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. This study utilizes primary data gathered by distributing questionnaires to the respondents and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) instrument. The study found a significant positive effect of friendly leadership on job satisfaction and employee engagement, while the forced leadership did not. Friendly leadership has an insignificant impact on employee performance, while forced leadership has adversely impacted employee performance. As for the mediating effect, the study only documented a significant mediating role of employee engagement on the relationship between friendly leadership and employee performance. These findings show the crucial role of friendly leadership in enhancing employee engagement and, consequently, employee performance.
