The system identification method has been applied for modeling the non-linear components of automobile suspension. The various experiment to evaluate the performance of the suspension system has been conducted and a direct approach method is utilized for the construction of the initial model and then the final model has been derived through the combination of important parameters by considering its error reduction rate. The least square method has been applied to the final model for the determination of each parameter coefficient. In the experiment condition to validate, single axis simulator model has been simulated in ADAMS environment and the force generated on each components is compared to the actual test result and the consequence provided by polynomial model. Additionally, 3-axis simulator model has been simulated to verify the effectiveness of each non-linear modeling method and the load of each joint is also analyzed for the durability performance test. The results obtained are compared to the polynomial model's. Consequently, it has shown that the results calculated by each non-linear system identification method are not in accordance.
