The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of personal color systems through the comparative analysis of the skin colors according to the seasonal type. 200 Korean women in 20`s were diagnosed seasonal types by UK (United Kingdom), Japanese, Korean and German personal color drapes and measured their skin color by using Minolta CM-700d. The data were analyzed by statistical methods. As a result of the study, it is presented that Korean personal color system most certainly classifies seasonal types according to L* (lightness) among these personal color systems. German personal color system most classifies seasonal type according to a* (redness) among these personal color systems. Korean personal color system most certainly classifies seasonal types according to b* (yellowness) among these personal color systems. However Korean personal color system shows b* (yellowness) of winter type as the highest value in seasonal types. This does not follow the previous theories of personal color. This study analyzed the characteristics of personal color systems through the comparative analysis of the skin colors according to the seasonal type.

This study is to provide an effective material in developing a suitable personal color system for Korean by using analysis results of UK, Japanese, Korean and German`s personal color system. Analysis results from 4 major countries` personal color systems indicate the rate of blue base type is higher than those of yellow base type, and summer type is the highest rate in the blue base type. 4 major countries` personal color systems indicate significant difference in each seasonal type when comparing the analysis results for women in 20`s. The results between Korean and Japanese personal color systems indicate the lowest correspondence rate as 64.5%, but the results between UK and German`s personal color system indicate the highest correspondence rate as 83%. This study verified the difference in analysis results according to different countries personal color systems. It is concluded that a suitable personal color system should be developed for Korean to avoid any confusion resulted from the difference between 4 major countries` personal color systems.

Modern makeup industry area has been extended and it is divided to beauty makeup and art makeup. The practice of makeup tends to be professionally subdivided. So I analyzed the characteristics of beauty makeup and art makeup by remark and awareness of experts group. The results were as follows.: The two makeup subdivisions are characterized by representing methods. The art makeup shows more important technique then beauty makeup. The Design is the most important representing factor to distinguish makeup. To analyze the representing characteristic of each subdivision, the color is the most important factor in beauty makeup and the design is the most important factor in art makeup. The result of submission of actual makeup image also shows the same result. According to the result of two independent subdivisions, there are some difference in ‘contrast’, ‘change’, ‘symmetry’, and ‘consistency’ and there are no difference in ‘harmony’and ‘gradation.’ In sensitivity evaluation, ‘familiarity’ and ‘purity’ are higher evaluation factor in beauty makeup and ‘ornamentation’ and ‘attractiveness’ are higher evaluation factor in art makeup. The design is the most distinguishable representing factor and the result of submission of actual makeup image is the same. In sensitivity evaluation, ‘familiarity’ and ‘purity’ are higher evaluation factor in beauty makeup and ‘ornamentation’ and ‘attractiveness’ are higher evaluation factor in art makeup. Therefore, there are contrary to each makeup subdivision in the sensitivity.

With rapid economic growth, increasing interest in social welfare, and development of sciences, human life span is increasingly lengthened, leading to the creation of ageing society, where preparation for death-which cannot be overlooked-exercises great influence on the culture of funeral. Also, “funeral makeup”, which has developed due to social needs, is recently used by certain classes of people, and has yet to be furthered in order to either be recognized as a professional job or classified as such. Common people were surveyed to identify their perception of funeral makeup. In the result, more women than men said that a funeral makeup is necessary or that they will use funeral makeup. More people in their 20s and 30s, than people in their 50s, knew about funeral makeup. Regardless of age, education and religion, a large number of people said that a funeral makeup is necessary, and that they will use it. Considering these results, a greater number of those who knew about funeral makeup, and that a funeral makeup is necessary, responded that will use funeral makeup. Regardless of their majors, all respondents said that a funeral makeup is necessary, and regarding the preference of makeup performers as well, funeral makeup artists were preferred the most. Thus, most of people consider funeral makeup necessary, prefer the job of funeral makeup artists, indicating the need to provide professional guidance and education on funeral makeup, and if the service is widely promoted, the funeral makeup will emerge a new job among the makeup industry.

Air brush is now not only in car painting but also in body- and nail-painting. So that, practical expression techniques of color, construction and texture in body painting and nail art were investigated by air brush. 6 Pieces of art work are prepared on mannequin and synthetic nail for expression of multi- and mono-color, pictorial technique (free-hand), abstractive motif presented stencils, visual textual and the tactual textual by air brush. In the result, first, airbrush can be used not only the expression of animal and leaves detail image with multi- or mono-color, but also mono color with smooth gradation can be expressed the image perfectly. Second, the feeling with existing picture of Marilyn Munroe and abstractive motif can be expressed by using of pictorial technique and graphic technique with prepared stencils. And separately presented picture was very detail and fine painted, but a assembly picture showed unbalance. Because the area of expressed work may be small and narrow. Third, the visual textual and the tactual textual were expressed and felt truly and realistically. In the conclusion, air brush may be useful tool for coloring, construction and texture expression technique in body painting and nail art.
