Recently, with the increase in driving time and the emergence of ergonomics, the need for comfortable vehicles that reduce driver fatigue has increased day by day, and comfort has become an important factor with the potential to increase vehicle purchase competitiveness. Developing more comfortable seats by minimizing them in the product development stage is important for the high sensitivity of automobiles. There is a difficulty in that the method widely used for evaluating the comfort of car seat cushions does not suggest a guide to designing a comfortable seat. Therefore, in this study, a method of extracting stiffness and its utilization method was proposed as design variables that can design comfort seats from local load-displacement data and body pressure distribution data. In addition, the distribution of the stiffness, of the seat actually felt by the driver for car seats sold on the market was presented.
