Injection flow analysis was performed on the CRB (Cold Runner Block) system using the Moldex3D program for EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene Diene Monomer) gaskets with excellent heat resistance in hydrogen fuel cells. In the upper mold of the existing model, the temperature is relatively small, with a minimum of 175.9 ℃ and a maximum of 180.1 ℃, while the lower mold has a minimum of 176.0 ℃ and a maximum of 182.3 ℃, which varies slightly depending on the cavity and temperature sensor location. The average temperature difference between the measured and analyzed values of the existing model is approximately 8.1 ℃, but the measured and interpreted values show very similar temperature graph shapes depending on the sensor attachment location. By changing the heater arrangement structure, the maximum temperature deviation for each cavity (upper mold: 4.2→1.6 ℃, lower mold: 6.3→2.0 ℃) and the maximum temperature deviation inside the cavity (upper mold: 1.7→0.3 ℃, lower mold: 3.4→0.8 ℃) have been improved. By changing the heater arrangement structure in the CRB mold (from the vertical direction of the cavity to the horizontal direction), the temperature deviation is reduced, and the degree of hardness is improved, which is expected to improve the quality of the gasket.
