The effect of coolant flow pattern in the engine block is very important for the engine heat transfer. In this study, 3-D model of engine block coolant passage is established to investigate the effects of various inlet positions and velocities. And the effect of grid density is also investigated. BFC(Body Fitted Coordinate) and RNG k- g model are applied to represent the complex geometry of coolant passage and to solve the turbulent flow field.
