Passenger cars with sunroofs sometimes experience a low frequency noise called "wind throb" and a high frequency called "turbulence noise" when travelling with the sunroof open. These noise should be suppressed because it is an unpleasant noise which can adversely affect the acoustic environment inside a car. It is useful to suppress the wind noise if the height of a wind deflector can be adjusted variably in a proper position depending on the driving speed and the sunroof opening width, because it is always sprung out to a fixed height at the front edge of sunroof when opened. In this study, a variable sunroof wind deflector was developed and verified by road test and durability test. The deflector's optimal basic sectional shape and variable height according to sunroof opening width were determined by CFD analysis.

In order to control vibration in structures, it is desirable to be able to identify dominant paths of vibration transmission from sources through the structure to some points of interest. Structural intensity vector(power flow per width of cross section) using cross spectra is able to measure the vibration power flow at a point in a structure.
This paper describes the possibility of the application of structural intensity measurement to identify dominant paths of vibration power's transmission for vibration control. Structural intensity of 2-dimensional structure can be obtained from two point measurement per axis on the assumption of far field. Experimental results are obtained on a passenger car's hood panel on idle operation. The structural intensity vectors on the panel showed good possibility to identify the path of vibration power flow on idle operation.
The numbers of the elder are rapidly growing who wants to enhance social activities, because Korea is already an aging society since 2000. The mobility and accessibility are the key issues to enhance them. The electric motor scooter and the power wheel chair are efficient movable means at a short range. It would be needed to get on and off them if the elder wants use them after arriving a long distant destination. But the electric scooter is too heavy for a man to get on and off a coach van. The motor winch lift is developed for the elder and the handicapped to get on and off a van easily. The lift consists of 3-linkage which can be installed in a trunk of a van with a small space. The clearance and stress of each component are checked by a computer simulation. The prototype was made, and the performances of safety and comfortableness were verified by operational ability test and durability test.

This study sought to prove the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification Korean culinary education. survey was conducted among Korean Cuisine professionals, culinary instructors, culinary professionals and potential students from various backgrounds. ata were collected by self-administered questionnaires and analyzed by reliability analysis, frequency analysis and t-test. any differences in terms of the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification between groups based on their majors, teaching experiences, and knowledge of sauce classification. First, the result showed that fermented Jang is core element Korean cuisine. Second, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification needs to be organized around Balhyojang. Third, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification for beginners and foreigners who want to learn Korean Cuisine relatively easily. Finally, the term ‘sauce’ is not suitable for replacing Yangnyomjang.

The noise from the sunroof can be divided into the low frequency buffeting noise and the high frequency turbulence noise generated when a car runs at the high driving speed. The wind deflector suppresses the buffeting noise generation by accelerating the vortex shedding from the front edge of sunroof opening, and guides the flow direction so that air can pass smoothly over the sunroof opening. To reduce the buffeting noise and the high frequency noise, it is very important to locate a deflector in a proper position depending on the driving speed and the sunroof opening width. The deflector’s sectional shape also plays an important role in efficiently reducing the buffeting and high frequency noise. In this paper, we determined the optimum deflector’s sectional shape and examined the flow characteristics behind a sunroof deflector through CFD analysis with changing the deflector height, the driving speed and the sunroof opening width. It is found that the deflector needs to be located in the higher location to control the buffeting noise by shedding the higher frequency vortices to accelerating vortices from the sunroof front edge. The deflector may act as a new noise source at the high driving speed, then it is desirable to put the deflector at the proper height to reduce the flow fluctuations and the noise generation. We also made a road test to verify CFD analysis results in this study.

In recent years, laser-arc hybrid welding has begun to be adopted for assembly welding of automotive bodies and parts, because the hybrid welding process can weld lapped steel sheets having a larger gap than is possible with laser welding. In this paper, to predict the twist deformation by the hybrid welding when brackets are welded in B pillar of a passenger car, the residual stress using CAE is analyzed and the deformation result of CAE is compared with the measured deformation. First of all, after modeling heat source as intended to be expressed with laser-arc hybrid welding method, heat source fitting is done with welding conditions and a section of welding part obtained through specimen test. In case of heat source functions, laser used conical source and arc used double ellipsoid source. Through the local model analysis, elements which are located in the center of the model are selected. The elements are called WME(Welding Macro Element). This WME is extruded in the welding lines and welding phenomenon of complex parts is accomplished. The deformation amount after hybrid welding is got through a simulation, the validity of simulation is verified by measuring the panel and comparing with the simulation result.
