N/A The impact of cardiovascular changes occurred by endotracheal intubation is risky for pa- tients with ischemic heart disease, or intracranial pathologic conditions typically impairing ce- rebral autoregulatory mechanisms. Therefore, multiple approaches have been utilized to limit the impact of intubation and re- duce damage of central nervous and cardiovascular systems. These approaches include modifi- cations in intubation technique to diminish circulatory stimuli and pharmacologic modifica- tions of either the sensory afferent path or the circulatory response itself. We tried the stellate ganglion block, a kind of sympathetic block, for the same purpose and evaluated the results. The results of study are as follows, 1) Blood pressure and heart rate increased significantly after intubation as compared with preintubation in both control group and SGB group. 2) The difference of the two groups is not found. We conclude the above method does not control cardiovascular consequences of endotracheal intubation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of treadmill exercise in different temperature on changes of blood nitric oxide(BNO), blood pressure(BP) and heart rate(HR) in middle-aged women. Subjects were 7 women in the 50’s, treated by the different temperature of 3 groups, as normal temperature(23±1˚C), cold temperature(6±1˚C), hot temperature(32±1˚C) during treadmill exercise and effects on changes of BNO, BP and HR have been evaluated. For statistical significance, we use repeated measured ANOVA. Main results of the present study were as followings: 1)BNO did not show significance among normal, cold and hot group. 2) The effects of on elderly women’s systolic blood pressure(SBP) was a significant difference by exercise time(p〈.05). 3) Diastolic blood pressure(DBP) in all groups decreased at post-exercise more than pre-exercise and increased at recovery. Also, DBP was a significant difference by exercise time(p〈.05) and between groups(p〈.05). 4) HR was a significant difference by exercise time(p=〈.05) and between groups(p=〈.05), and the interaction was significant at the level of p=〈.05. To conclude, BNO contributes to blood endothelial cell relaxation, vasodilation and inhibition of pressor effect and it has a high relation with high blood pressure. These results may suggest that temperature has an influence on the BNO production and therefore leads to changes of BP and HR.

The studys purpose was to clarify childcares impact on the psychological well-being of fathers with an infant. This study included 1,250 households that used 15 nursery centers. The questionnaire asked about the fathers age, income, working conditions, participation in childcare, recognition of sense of usefulness to their family, marital satisfaction, mental health, health-related quality of life(QOL), and the mothers age, number of children, age of the youngest child, and working conditions. A casual model was examined using SEM. The results were as follows: first, fathers participation in childcare contributed to health-related QOL through the recognition of feeling useful to their family. Second, fathers participation in childcare contributed to marital satisfaction, directly and indirectly through health -related QOL and improved mental health. Third, fathers participation in childcare contributed to health related QOL through the recognition of feelings of usefulness, marital satisfaction, and mental health, indirectly. These results suggest that promoting fathers participation in childcare is important to help prevent many problems and to improve QOL.
