In this study, we investigated the NOx reduction characteristics by pulverized coal reburning via drop tube furnace(DTF). Each experiment was conducted with different reaction temperature and equivalence ratio. It is observed that the NOx reduction became larger as reaction temperature and the equivalence ratio increases, respectively. Especially when equivalence ratio of pulverized coal is 1.5, NOx conversion efficiency of such coal increased to 80% with increasing reaction temperature. This is attributed to the enhanced reactions of fixed carbon with NOx at high temperature.

The objective of this study is to examine combustion characteristics of Bio-SRF pyrolysis oil as alternative of fossil fuel. Thermal capacity of combustion test system is 1MWth and fuel injection pressure ranges are optimized or viscosity of each fuel. In order to compare with general oil such as heavy oil, fuel component must be taken into account. In the fuel analysis result, nitrogen contents of pyrolysis oil is higher than heavy oil, but sulfur content is lower. This is equivalent to the result of NOx and SOx emissions for each fuel. Also, most of air pollutants met domestic standard.
