This paper presents a energy storage system (ESS) model in ship applications with using a constant power load model. the power conversion system and controller in ESS applications require high sampling frequency which causes large computation load in emulating long-term operation. Therefore, this paper proposes the computation reduction technique, and the effectiveness and validity of this paper are demonstrated by MATLAB/simulink simulation.

This paper presents a study on analysis of input impedance in parallel battery racks for improving current imbalance which causes both overload of battery cell and risk of thermal management. In this paper, the impedance analysis was performed considering power line and battery internal impedance variations within the range of the minimized current imbalance between parallel-connected battery racks. The feasibility of this paper was demonstrated by mathematical analysis and simulation results.
