The normalization on the characteristics of water level change at the upstream gauging station was attempted according to the operation of drainage sluice gate of the Geumgang estuary dam. The characteristics were normalized by the analysis of water level change and by the linear-regression of the water level data measured at the inner station of Geumgang estuary dam and upstream gauging station. The results of normalization may be referred to the management of Geumgang estuary lake, the operation of pumping and drainage stations in the shore of the lake. The mean response time of water level change on Ibpo, Ganggyeong and Gyuam water level station were 39,81 and 160 minutes, when sluice gate was opened respectively. The mean velocity of surface wave, the mean displacement of water level change, the mean time of water level change and the mean rate of water level change varied largely depending on the location of gauging station and the characteristics of stream section of the water level gauging station.

This study was performed to get the basic data for the dredging project and logical maintenance of the Yaedang reservoir. The survey of reservoir capacity for calculation of sediment volume carried out using DGPS Echo-Sounder during November $25\~30$ in 2004. The latitude and longitude signal from GPS satellite was received a second interval with the UTM coordinate system. Water depth was measured 0.2 second interval by Echo-sounder sensor in MIDAS Surveyor. The UTM coordinate datum were transformed into standard coordinate datum of Korean(TM coordinate datum) using Arc Info System. Mapping of contour was used Sufer, Arc View and Auto CAB Program Storage capacity of Yaedang reservoir was estimated by average contour area method. Result of this time investigation for useful storage determination of Yaedang reservoir was showed 4,601.585 ha-m and was differenced less 5.425ha-m the bygones useful storage. 본 연구는 예당저수지의 합리적인 유지와 준설사업의 기초자료를 확보하기 위하여 수행하였다. 퇴적량 산정을 위한 내용적 측량을 DGPS 음향 측심기를 이용하여 2004년 11월 $25\~30$일간 수행하였다. 인공위성으로부터 위도와 경도신호는 1 초 간격으로 UTM 좌표 계로 수신하였다. 수심 값은 0.2초 간격으로 MIDAS Surveyor에 있는 Eecho sounder sensor 로 측정하였다 Arc Info GIS 프로그램을 사용하여 우리나라 좌표계인 TM좌표로 변환하였다. 등수심선도 작성은 Sufer, Arc View와 Auto CAD Program을 사용하였다. 저수지 용량은 평균등고선면적법으로 산정하였다. 예당저수지의 유효저수량을 결정하기 위한 이번 조사의 결과는 4,601.6ha-m로 기왕의 유효저수량보다 약 5.425ha-m정도 퇴적된 것으로 파악되었다.

This study was carried out to developed that appraisement model of Potential Productivity Index (PPD. PPI model was used Farmland Productivity Index(FPD and Labor Productivity Index(LPI) by GIS, and PPI model applied to farm land consolidation region which has been completed recently. FPI was determined by overlapping Poly Grid of the soil properties at the analyzed project region. LPI was estimated by addition productive wages ratio of total direct productive cost. Addition productive wages was determined by GIS Network analysis of working distance between farm house to paddy and each paddy. PPI variation of each the analyzed paddy of Masu and Weoncheon region was 0.967~0.712, 0.986~0.780 respectively, and could be showed relative largely PPI value. PPI will provide basic element for large scaling and gathering of farm land and a substitute lot of farm land consolidation, and will be maximize productivity of paddy.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the change of hydraulic characteristics like water surface profile and riverbed section in the down stream of Keum river after the construction of estuary dam. The effect of estuary dam on the flood control in the Keum river was recognized with the data of two flood events happened in July, 1987 before the construction and in August, 1995 after the construction of estuary dam. For example, duration time above the water level of the warning -flood was changed from 46.5 to 42.8 hours and duration time above the water level of the danger-flood was changed from 24.7 to 19.8 hours at the Kyuam station. The time difference to reach the water level of the designated -flood between Kyuam and Kangkyung was changed from 3 hours in 1987 to 12 hours and 20 minutes in 1995. The water surface slope of river decreased 25.6% between estuary dam and Kangkyung and increased 16.5% between Kangkyung and Kyuam, and decreased 8.8% between Kyuam and Kongju. As the result, velocity was getting faster and river bed was scoured in the reach of Kangkyung and Kyuam, and velocity was getting slower and river bed was sedimented in the reach of Kangkyung and estuary dam.

The study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the watershed average infiltration coefficient measured by the Guelph Permeameter at the Backokpo watershed in the Han river and at the Bangdong watershed in the Keum river.
