Industrialization has caused the environment of the earth to be polluted rapidly. Owing to heavy pollutants of automobiles, many researches have been done to reduce to the proper levels. In the gasoline engine, technology of CCC (Close-Coupled Catalytic Converter) is used very widely as an aftertreatment. In general, the particulate deposits are regenerated in the soot filtering system.<br/> In this study, numerical analysis was performed to simulate the flow and accumulation of the particulate deposit in the filter by STAR-CD. Transient results show that the particulate deposits are almost homogeneous on the porous media of<br/> filter but, not at the comer.<br/>
