        This paper is focused on the leachate leakage detection and restoration method in the geomembrane liner system at the sanitary landfill. The geomembrane liner can be damaged during the construction process of municipal solid waste landfill by the construction equipment or riprap. Darilek et al.(1989) investigated various solid waste landfills to verify the leakage of geomembrane liner system and it is turned out to be that most of sanitary landfills are leaked. In this study, a double-liner-system was developed and which can detection the leakage and restoration of the damaged geomembrane. This sheet system was made of HDPE sheet at the top and bottom layers, and furnished geocomposite-liner that installed drain-board at the middle layer. Drain-board provides a space that installed detection-sensor at a double-liner-system. The grouting material can be injected by using the mortar injection instrument to plug the damaged spot on the geomembrane through the space created by the drain board. The detection sensor is an electrode system which can detect the leakage of leachate through the geomembrane. The electronic sensor is fixed on the top and bottom of geomembranes. The proposed double liner system can prevent the leakage and environmental pollution. This technology can be applied at the sanitary landfill construction.
