직접 분사식 디젤기관에서 함산소연료의 성상에 따른 성능 및 배기배출물 특성 연구

In this paper, the effects of oxygen component in oxygenated blended fuels on the exhaust emissions have been investigated for direct injection diesel engine. It tested t estimate changes of engine performance and exhaust emission characteristics for the commercial diesel fuel and oxygenated blended fuels which have four kinds of fuel on DGM (diethylene glycol dimethyl ether), MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether), Dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and EGBE(ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether) and various mixed rates. And, the effects of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) on the characteristics of NOx emission and brake specific fuel consumption rate also have been investigated. The results of this study show that individual hydrocarbons as well as total hydrocarbon of oxygenated blended fuels are reduced remarkably compared with diesel fuel. It was found that simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx emission was achieved with oxygenated blended fuels and cooled EGR method.
디젤기관에서 Di-Ether 계열 함산소제의 적용에 관한 연구

In this study, the potential possibility of oxygenated fuel for di-ether group oxygenated additives such as Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and diethylene glycol dimethyl ether(DGM) were investigated for the sake of exhausted smoke reduction from diesel engine. MTBE has been used as a fuel additive blended into unleaded gasoline to improve octane number, but the study of application for diesel engine was incomplete. DGM has been used as a oxygenated fuel additive, too. Because they includes oxygen content approximately from 18% to 36%, it is a kind of oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of them is reduced remarkably compared with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficiently at high loads and speeds in a diesel engine. But, NOx emission was increased compared with commercial diesel fuel. It was needed a NOx reduction countermeasure that cooled EGR method was used as a countermeasure for NOx reduction. It was found that simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx emission was achieved with oxygenated blended fuel and cooled EGR method(10~15%).
