        유상미(Yoo Sang Mi),김미량(Mi-Ryang Kim),김인엽(Inyeob KIM) 한국방송통신대학교 미래원격교육연구원 2007 평생학습사회 Vol.3 No.1

E-Learning is another way of teaching and learning. E-learning is a networked phenomenon allowing for instant revisions and distribution, and goes beyond training and instruction to the delivery of information and tools to improve performance. The benefits of e-learning are many, including cost effectiveness, enhanced responsiveness to change, consistency, timely content, flexible accessibility, and providing customer value. The proponents of e-learning stress the importance of using communities of interest to support and enhance the learning process. They also emphasizes that students learn more effectively when they interact and are involved with other students participating in similar endeavors. The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of planned behavior toward e-learning lasses in commercial high school. This study developed a research model to analyze the factors explaining the intention to register in e-learning classes, employing ease of use, perceived usefulness, contents-quality, self-directed studying capability, ICT-skills, expectation from classes, technical aspect of web-site as major research variables. We collected close to 500 survey responses from the commercial high school students attending e-learning classes. The results indicates that the ease of use, perceived usefulness has some impact on the intention to use, but the technical aspects of web-site and contents did not appear significant to the flow. It was also found that contents-quality, self-directed studying capability, expectation from classes influence the perceived usefulness, and that self-directed studying capability and ICT-skills improve the level of easiness on e-learning classes.
