사회적 기업은 자본주의 시장경제 체제 내에서 시장메커니즘 속에서도 생존하면서도 재무적으로 튼튼하고, 그동안 시장 실패와 정부 실패 아래 이루어지지 못했던 사회적 서비스의 제공이라는 사회적 목적을 실현시킬 수 있는 새로운 형태의 조직이라는 점에서 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 이러한 주목을 받는 사회적 기업이 국내의 제도적 환경 속에서 어떻게 자리 잡고 있는지, 사회적 기업을 둘러싼 제도들이 어떤 파트너십을 구성하고 있고, 이것들의 효과를 규명하려고 하는 연구는, 앞으로 엄밀한 방법론을 적용한 연구를 위한 초석이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구의 초점은 각각의 다른 성격을 가진 주체들이 사회적 기업에 차별적인 영향을 준다는 것으로서, 재무적 성과에 대해서는 민간 지원 기관이 긍정적인 영향력을 갖고 있는 반면, 사회적 성과에 대해서는 비영리 조직과의 파트너십이 긍정적인 영향력을 갖고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 파트너십의 종류에 있어서는 재무적·경영적 판로 개척 관련 지원들이 재무적 성과에 긍정적인 영향이 있었다. Social enterprises receive a lot of attention, for they can survive and have financial sustainability in market mechanism and provide social service that can not be provided due to the failure of market and government. Given this situation, it is necessary that researchers investigate how social enterprise are positioned in the local institutional environment, what kinds of partnerships institutions around social enterprises involve, and what effect they provide. The focus of our study is that different organizations provide different effects to social enterprises. The results show for-profit organizations influence positively the financial performance of social enterprises, while non-profit organizations influence positively the social performance of social enterprises. And financial, managerial, marketing support influence positively the financial performance of social enterprises.
