The vibration isolation in our environment is often very important. For the reduction of transmitted force or displacement, we adopt vibration isolators to such things as a vehicle and a lathe. Especially, rubber and rubber-like materials represent a class of materials that display highly elastic behavior. Under vibratory loading conditions, rubber-like materials are capable of absorbing energy which is partly stored (as in a spring) and partly dissipated (as in a dashpot) in internal friction like heat. Because of this character, rubber is mostly used as a cushioning and vibration isolating material in such applications as tires, belts and engine mounts. Usually the vibration isolators are composed of spring-dashpot system or rubber as mentioned above. For these kinds of vibration isolator, many research works have been reported. In this paper, vibration isolators such as rubber are used for experiment. The vibration source from sine-generator has frequency of 1 Hz to 130 Hz. The characteristics of the vibration isolators may be represented in terms of the amplitude of displacement, which is measured with an accelerometer, a frequence analyzer and an oscilloscope. The results are compared with a theory. The experimental value has a good agreement the theoretical one with a slight difference. So rubber's dynamic properties such as tensile storage modulus and tensile loss modulus, were able to be measured from vibration testing.
