      • 大學生의 國民精神敎育에 관한 -硏究

        This study aimed at analyzing Korean College Students' attitude toward national spirit and their prospect of national tasks and their achievement in the future. Following items are highly evaluated; Peace-loving mind(60.6%), Patriotism(53%), Mind of social justice(74.4%), Will to build welfare nation(71.2%), Awareness of national security(57.4%), Humanism(59.3%), Sense of free democracy(79.0%), Will to peaceful unification(53.4%), Sense of sovereign independence(68.2%) And they tend to have bright prospect as to these items; Embodiment of justice society(69.9%), Economic development(90.7%), Political stability(72.2%), Establishment of welfare society(91.1%), Revolution of science and technology(87.7%), Educational development(91.5%), Population control(82.6%), Koreanization of democracy(66.1%). But such items as their National pride and Public-first and Private-next mind are graded low, while they take a pessimistic view of Peaceful unification and Environmental conservation.

      • 各國의 精神薄弱 對策에 관한 比較 硏究

        The aim of this paper is to carry out a comparative study on the policies taken by the various countries for the feeble-minded and thus to find out problems in regard to setting up a prospective countermeasures for the feeble-minded children within the nation. The countermeasures being taken by the nations of the world are varied and effective to achieve remarkable progress in spite of the short history. This is particulary so with the United States and European contries. Their method of education and the training of the specialist or personnel are excellent and far advanced. In those countries the human right of the feeble minded childlen are well integrated and the measures for upgrading the education and welfare are well organized by the effort of both govenment and private foundations. Thus, in the face of the lack of the favourable facilities within the nation, the followings are recommanded; (1) The feeble-minded children should be understood and their rights should be integrated. (2) Legislative procedure should be taken and accelarated. to set up a policy for the feebleminded. (3) Institutions or special classes shoud be established and increased. (4) The training of the speccialist or personnel shuld be upgraded along with the raise of payments. (5) Active researches in regard to the feefle-minded should be encou-raged. (6) The principle of free-compulsory-education should be applied to the education of the feeble-minded chiden without discrimination. (7) Social welfare system should be established for the feeble-minded children.

      • 敎大 出身者의 敎職 適應 狀況 評價

        It is the purpose of this study to evaluate the adaptation status to the teaching career of the teachers college graduates and to systematically analyze and rearrange the materials concerned so that some suggestions for the studies related to this field might be concluded. Procedure The teacher's quality for the profession has been measured by an evaluating scale and the attitude for the profession has been measured by standardized tools. And a questionaire of the writer's own composing has been used in examining the general trend of the teacher's quality. This study has been carried on with the following limitations: (1) The area of investigation has been limitted to Busan area. (2) The evaluated teachers have not had any previous training. (3) The actual visiting or interviewing process has not been accompanied. Results The results of the study can be summarized as the following: 1. In the investigation of the teacher's attitude toward the profession, the attitude point of the teachers college graduates was higher by 4.47 points, and the standard of the attitude of the woman teachers was a little higher. 2. In the investigation of the view of value-judgement, "the pride for the teaching profession' marked a higher proportion with the group of teachers college graduates(77.76%). 3. In the item of the degree of enthusiasm for the guidance of the problem child, the answer of "feel keenly the necessity of it" was shown 70%, which was considerably high standard of all sampling items, especialy the zeal of the woman teachers for this guidance was very high. 4. The standard of the teacher's quality of the teacher college graduates of both sexes showed a high percentage. 5. In the investigation of the trend of the teacher's quality through a questionaire, there was no difference among each sampling item. 6. In the self-evaluation for the ability of subject instruction, the teachers, as a whole, admitted the shortage of their ability in the teaching skill. 7. The problems in the teaching of each subject were found in the following fields: (1) "dancing" and "ball games" in the physical education, "instrumental music and concert" in the music subject, "drawing"a and "writing" in the art, (2) "civic course" in the social life, "gathering" in the arithmetic, "geology" in the natural science, and "individual guidance" in the moral life. 8. The degree of application of the educational theories to the professional life was answered in the affirmative in each field. Recommondation Following suggestions have been concluded as a result of this study: 1. The standard the teacher's attitude toward the teaching profession is considered generally low, and it is the writer's belef that the education that the education course should be extended and strengthened in the curriculum of the teachers college and the teachers should be given a chance of continuous in-service training program. 2. The teacher's quality of the woman teachers is lower than that of the man teachers. And it is desirable that more opportunities of professional training for the woman teachers should be considered. 3. In order that the teaching skills studied during the cadet teacher practice period be utilized in the actual class room activities, more practical problems should be treated during the cadet teacher practice course. 4. The educational plan for the charactor-improving in the aspect of the practical moral life, which is tend to be neglected easily in the college life, should be treated more seriously in the teachers college curriculum.
