A concern about micro grid connection system is elevated. The reason is that carbon dioxide emission is regionally restricted to prevent the drain of fossil fuel, high oil prices and global warming. The existing photovoltaic DC-DC converter is operated by the full-bridge method. However, the configuration is complicated because a phase shift method is required to raise an efficiency. A photovoltaic DC-DC converter connected with second layered half-bridge converter and boost converter is proposed in this paper. This proposed DC-DC converter is easy to control and has an advantage of reducing the size. Finally, the validity of the proposed converter is verified by the experimentation.

The AC-DC Adapter has been widely used in Mobile Phones, Note Book PC, LCD monitors, and portable electronic products. Recently, high-power-density Adapter was developed. This adapter increases power factor using a bridge diode rectifier and PFC, however, there are weak points that improving efficiency is limited. In the bridgeless rectifier circuit proposed in this paper, there is no PFC, however, the power factor and efficiency are improved by BCM and ZCS operations.

In this paper, the two-stage DC-DC converter is proposed to make the control simple and to boost the low input voltage in the fuel cell generating system. The low efficiency of the conventional power converter is caused by a characteristic of the low-voltage and high-current in the fuel cell generating system. High-frequency transformer is needed to block the noise and to guarantee the safety of cell and load as a magnetically insulation. The proposed two-stage DC-DC converter for a fuel cell generation is more efficient than the traditional one-stage converter and easy to control. The design of a high-frequency transformer is also simple. Finally, the utility of the proposed converter is proved by the simulations and experiments.

AC PDP has disadvantages that power consumption and sustain voltage are high and price is expensive. An energy recovery circuit for AC PDPs with reduced sustain voltage was proposed to solve these disadvantages. However, panel voltage of this circuit at the end of energy recovery and supply region was lower than sustain voltage. Therefore ZVS cannot be performed in the switching elements of driving circuit. In this paper, we propose the improved driving method that switching devices are operated with ZVS by using CIM(Current Injection Method). Finally, the validity of proposed driving method is verified by the simulations.

현재 사용하고 있는 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) Backlight용 램프는 주로 CCFL(Cold Cathod Fluorescent Lamp)과 EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp)이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 이 램프는 수은을 사용하여 RoHS(the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment)규제가 점점 강화되면서 사용이 제한되고 있으며, 이에 따라 수은을 사용하지 않는 램프의 제작이 불가피해지고 있다. 또한 LCD TV는 CRT와 PDP와는 다른 LCD만의 Hold-type 특성과 LC(Liquid Crystal)의 응답속도로 인하여 Motion Blur현상이 나타나는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 RoHS 규제를 만족시키는 무수은 면광원 램프를 구동하기 위한 인버터를 제안한다. 제안한 인버터는 포워드 방식을 사용하여 반도체 소자 및 자기 소자의 수를 줄여서 구동회로가 간단하다. 또한 면광원 램프를 세로방향으로 6블록으로 나누어 스캔구동을 하여 Motion Blur현상을 저감 시켰다. 끝으로 실험을 통하여 제안한 인버터의 유용성을 입증하였다.
