Under the new historical conditions, Confucius inherited and developed the thought of “hong fan nine chou” in the book of History. He put forward the idea of “tian xia you dao” based on the idea of “yi lun yu xu”. As for the first chou “five elements”of “jiu chou of hong fan”, not only inherits the natural meaning discussed by ji zi, but also gives the “five elements” political and moral meaning. As for the second chou of “hong fan nine chou”, “respect and use of five things”, Confucius completely inherited and developed and promoted. Confucius fully covered the connotation of “five things”with the concept of “benevolence”, and expanded and deepened the five things. Confucius also inherited and developed the three, four, five and six four chou of “hong fan nine chou”, while he inherited and criticized the seven, eight and nine chou, showing a rational attitude. In a word, the inheritance and analysis of Confucius' criticism of the Shang shu·hong fan conforms to the law of ideological and cultural development.
