Does Gender Influence Investment Choice? A Psychosomatic Study of GCC Entrepreneurs

Mohammed Abdul Imran KHAN,Syed Ahsan JAMIL,Shahebaz Sarfaraz KHAN,Meer Mazhar ALI 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.4

Entrepreneurs with behavioral finance biases are more likely to make irrational or financially detrimental decisions. Understanding financial behavior biases can assist in making sound financial decisions. Behavioral finance is a new topic that can assist researchers in better understanding investor behavior and preferences while purchasing and selling stocks. Using measures such as independent t-tests and average Likert five-point scale scores, this study seeks to determine how entrepreneurs make investment decisions and whether gender makes a difference. The study is empirical, and data from 1000 entrepreneurs were collected through convenience sampling. The study’s main findings show that there are numerous factors to consider while investing in stocks, including family planning, children’s education, investment security, and recurring income. Both men and women attempt to invest in many asset classes, but certain investments are extremely risky, while others are low risk. As a result, investors should assess risk based on their age and experience rather than their gender; this indicates that an investment in venture capital has nothing to do with gender but everything to do with the investor’s age.

        Synthesis and Physicochemical Studies of Perovskite Manganite La0.8Ca0.2Nn1-xCoxO₃ (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3)

        D. Turki,Zafar Khan Ghouri,Saeed Al-Meer,Khaled Elsaid,M. I. Ahmad,Ahmed Easa,M. Ellouze,E. K. Hlil 한국자기학회 2017 Journal of Magnetics Vol.22 No.3

The physicochemical properties of La0.8Ca0.2Mn1−xCoxO₃ nanopowders as a function of Co content (x) have been investigated. La0.8Ca0.2Mn1−xCoxO₃ nanopowders were synthesized by sol-gel method and morphologically and structurally well characterized by Scanning electron microscopic (SEM), Infrared spectroscopic (IR) and Raman spectroscopic techniques. IR spectra shows peak at around 600 cm−1 attributed to the stretching mode of MnO6 octahedral and peak at 700 cm−1 assigned to La-Ca-O-Mn bending vibrations. Raman spectra indicate peaks at around 512 and 652 cm−1 related to the Jahn-Teller octahedral distortions. The intensity of these peaks increases with increasing Co doping. The UV-visible spectra were measured in the frequency range of 200-800 nm and two energy gaps were found at 1.63 eV and 3.294 eV for x = 0, 0.1 and 0.3.

Transient Multipath routing protocol for low power and lossy networks

( M Ali Lodhi ),( Abdul Rehman ),( Meer M Khan ),( Muhammad Asfand-e-yar ),( Faisal Bashir Hussain ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.4

RPL routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) recommended IPv6 based protocol for routing over Low power Lossy Networks (LLNs). RPL is proposed for networks with characteristics like small packet size, low bandwidth, low data rate, lossy wireless links and low power. RPL is a proactive routing protocol that creates a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) of the network topology. RPL is increasingly used for Internet of Things (IoT) which comprises of heterogeneous networks and applications. RPL proposes a single path routing strategy. The forwarding technique of RPL does not support multiple paths between source and destination. Multipath routing is an important strategy used in both sensor and ad-hoc network for performance enhancement. Multipath routing is also used to achieve multi-fold objectives including higher reliability, increase in throughput, fault tolerance, congestion mitigation and hole avoidance. In this paper, M-RPL (Multi-path extension of RPL) is proposed, which aims to provide temporary multiple paths during congestion over a single routing path. Congestion is primarily detected using buffer size and packet delivery ratio at forwarding nodes. Congestion is mitigated by creating partially disjoint multiple paths and by avoiding forwarding of packets through the congested node. Detailed simulation analysis of M-RPL against RPL in both grid and random topologies shows that M-RPL successfully mitigates congestion and it enhances overall network throughput.
