金日成 主體思想의 文獻的 批判 = Literary critique on Kim Il Sung's Juche Ideology

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 硏究는 北韓을 50年 以上 父子世襲을 하면서 統治하여온 思想의 核心인 金日成의 主體思想 관련 核心文獻을 批判하였다. 主體思想이란 무엇인가? 理論的인 硏究를 하고 北韓에서 發行된 文獻 爲主로 分析하여 金日成 主體思想의 理論的·歷史的인 矛盾과 限界를 導出하였다. 金日成 主體思想은 北韓을 支配하는 唯一思想이고, 指導理念으로서 硏究의 價値가 있는 것은 事實이다. 形成背景과 理論的 發展段階는 國內 文獻을 考察하여 整理하였다. 硏究의 範圍는 金日成 主體思想 關聯 領域을 총 網羅하여 主體思想의 矛盾點을 導出하여 北韓關聯 文獻과 比較方法으로 批判하는 것으로 限定하였다.
金日成 主體思想 關聯 文獻을 批判한 硏究 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다.
主體思想을 言及하는 것은 北韓을 讚揚하자는 것이 아니라 客觀的으로 把握하여 統一의 相對인 北韓을 바로 알자는 것이다. 이는 6.15 南北共同宣言을 통해서 이미 證明된바 있다. 南北共同宣言以後 南北이 統一에 대해 어느 정도 合意하고 相當數 國民들이 이에 呼應을 보내고 있는 狀況에서 더 以上 韓半島에서 軍事的 緊張을 造成하는 일은 없어야 한다는 것이다.
첫째, 主體思想은 北韓의 學者들에 의해 만들어진 것이라기 보다는 金日成의 言行을 마르크스-레닌 主義에 맞추어 體系化시킨 統治方略이라고 볼 수 있다. 黃長燁에 의하여 主體思想이 體系化되기 前 金日成의 主體關聯 言及은 軍事戰略과 工場, 農業部門 等에서 現場指導와 敎示 等으로 나왔다. 다시 말하면 마르크스-레닌 主義처럼 理論體系를 만든 後 實踐된 것이 아니다. 오히려 金日成의 統治行績이 먼저 存在했고 그것을 事後에 一貫性 있는 理論體系로 整理했다고 보는 편이 옳을 것이다.
둘째, 金正日의 '主體思想에 대하여' 란 論文의 理論的體系는 主體思想의 哲學的 原理, 社會歷史 原理, 指導原則인 思想에서의 主體, 政治에서의 自主, 經濟에서의 自立, 國防에서의 自衛라는 4대 指導指針과 主體思想이 가지고 있는 歷史的 意義로 技術되어 있다. 卽, 사람이 모든 것의 主人이며 모든 것을 決定하는 사람 中心의 새로운 哲學思想이며 사람의 3大 屬性인 自主性, 創造性, 意識性을 새로운 科學的 解明으로 說明한 革命思想과 革命理論을 創始하였다고 言及하였다.
셋째, ‘主體思想의 哲學的 原理’에서 “首領에 대한 忠誠心 所有者만을 主體的 사람”으로 認定하였고, ‘主體의 社會歷史 原理’에서 “黨과 首領의 領導를 받는 人民大衆만이 歷史의 主體”라고 主張이 있는 것은 金父子에 대한 個人崇拜를 正當化시키려는 詭辯이며 ‘主體思想의 指導原則’에서 “思想改造 와 政治思業의 先行”이라하여 黨의 統制에만 執着하는 官僚主義的 行態를 誘發시키므로 北韓 經濟를 破綻시키는 根源的인 原因이다.
넷째, 1980年代에 들어서면서 이른바 ‘首領論’에서 “首領은 無誤謬性을 지닌 生命體의 腦髓이며 人民大衆은 首領에 忠誠함으로써 生命을 賦與받을수 있고 黨은 生命體의 神經組織”이라고 하며 主體思想의 틀을 갖추었고 이를 利用하여 金父子의 權力世襲 宣傳을 展開하기 始作하였다. 또한 “社會政治的 生命體論”으로 腦髓인 首領과 神經組織인 黨이 없으면 팔다리에 불과한 人民은 죽음이라는 論理로 盲目的인 服從을 要求하므로 파시즘을 능가하는 獨裁理論이다.
다섯째, 主體思想은 金日成이 舊蘇聯의 후루시초프 書記長의 스탈린 格下運動의 影響을 遮斷하고 政敵 肅淸의 名分을 마련하기 위해 急造한 執權 이데올로기이다. 對內的으로는 獨裁·世襲體制를 正當化하는 思想的 武器로, 對外的으로는 閉鎖體制를 合理化하는 宣傳手段으로, 對南面에서는 韓半島 共産化를 위한 理念的 道具로 利用하고 있다.
여섯째, 北韓은 主體思想의 理論的 創意性을 强調하여 왔지만 變形社會主義에 불과하다는 것이 通說이다. 獨裁者들이 1人 長期執權 體制를 위해서 變形된 理念을 創造하듯이 主體思想도 變質된 社會主義 ‘北韓式 막시즘’이라 고 할 수 있다. 그나마 70年代 初까지 ‘人民大衆이 모든 것을 決定한다’는 命題아래 思想이나 實踐理論에서 恒常 人間을 中心에 두는 等 純粹한 哲學形態를 보였다.
以上에서 金日成 主體思想에 關聯된 文獻을 分析한 結果 主體思想의 誤謬와 限界를 알 수 있다. 이제 우리 南北韓은 50年 이상 分斷된 가운데 지난 2000年 6.15南北頂上會談 以後 成功的인 2002 韓·日 월드컵을 치르고 새롭게 展開되는 世界속에서 變化를 모색 할 時點에 이르렀다. 그러나 北韓이 世界史的 흐름에서 孤立되어 ‘우리式 社會主義’ 體制를 固守하며 核開發 等으로 ‘冷戰的’ 生存方式을 못버림으로써 對決的 南北關係를 意圖的으로 維持해 나가고 있다.
現在 우리 政府는 北韓 指導層의 이러한 政策에도 불구하고 繼續 햇볕政策을 통한 平和共存의 길을 추구하고 있다. 이런 目標를 達成하려면 새로운 政府도 南北關係를 和解와 平和의 政策으로 50年이상 쌓인 不信의 障壁을 克服하고 信賴 構築을 위해 努力해 나가야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a critical approach to the literature on Kim Il Sung's Juche Ideology, which was utilized as the principle method of governing the North Korean dynasty for over half a decade. What is Juche Ideology? Theoretical research and analyses of literary documents published in North Korea have deduced theoretical and historical irony and the shortcomings of Juche Ideology. Juche Ideology is the only governing ideology and principle of North Korea and hence is worthy of research. Developmental background and theoretical progress has been sought through the study of documentation available within the country. The scope of research deals with the ironic aspects of Juche Ideology and a critical comparison with literature on North Korea.
To summarize such research would be as follows:
The mentioning of Juche Ideology is not with intent to praise the North, but to objectively analyze North Korea, the subject of unification. This has already been proved in the 6.15 North-South Joint Proclamation. After this, in an atmosphere where the people of both sides already seem to show agreement, military tension on the peninsula should not be created any more.
First, Juche Ideology is not a thought drawn up by scholars, but is rather Kim Il Sung's words organized into a governing utensil on the grounds of Marxism and Leninism. Before Juche Ideology was formalized by Hwang, Jang Yup, Kim Il Sung's quotations have appeared through recordings of his personal on site teachings of military strategy and the sectors of industry and agriculture. Thus, in contrast to Marxism or Leninism, theoretical formalization was not achieved before practice. Rather, Kim Il Sung's governing actions existed first, which were posthumously organized into a consistent theoretical system.
Second, the theoretical system of Kim Jung Il‘s own report 'On Juche Ideology’ is organized into 4 leadership guidelines and a view on its historical significance: philosophical theory of Juche Ideology, principle of Socio-History, Juche as a philosophical governing principle, political sovereignty, economical self-reliance, and self defense. In other words, man is the lord of all creation and the center of this new philosophy. The three main characteristics of man - sovereignty, creativity, and consciousness - have been expressed in a new scientific light.
Third, in the 'Philosophical Principle of Juche Ideology‘, "only the holders of loyalty to the Suryong(Leader) are recognized as self-reliant beings", and in the "Socio-Historical Principle of Juche, "only the masses guided by the Party and the Suryong are considered as the masters of history". We may conclude that Juche Ideology is merely a sophistry to justify the cult of personality of the Suryong (Kim Il-sung, and Kim Jong-il). To quote the 'Guiding Principle of Juche Ideology', "precedent ideological and political reindoctrination" is a sign of the bureaucratic behavior of over-reliance on control which was induced and which economic devastation could be attributed to.
Fourth, entering the 1980s, the 'Theory of the Suryong' stating that "the Suryong (Leader) is the impeccable brain of the living body, the masses may be endowed with life in exchange for loyalty, and the Party is the nervous tissue" built the framework of Juche Ideology and gave way to the propaganda of his hereditary power succession. Also, the 'Theory of the Immortal Socio-Political Body' depicting the people as "mere limbs, which would be dead without the Suryong, which is the brain, and the Party, which is the nervous tissue", requires the unquestioned obedience of the people and is thus none other that a theory of dictatorship even surpassing the fascism.
Fifth, Juche Ideology was a hastily designed ideology to justify the purging of political rivals and Kim Il-sung's political rivals and cut off any influence of the de-Stalinization movements spurred by Kruschev at that time in the Soviet Union. Internally Juche Ideology is utilized as an ideological weapon justifying the Kim's dictatorship and hereditary power succession scheme, externally a propagandistic means to rationalize the North's closed-door policy, and towards the South an ideological tool to achieve communization.
Sixth, although North Korea's Juche Ideology has emphasized its theoretical creativeness, common opinion holds that it is none other than transformational socialism. Just as dictators create altered ideologies for the stability of their monarchy, Juche Ideology is the North Korean Marxism version of socialism. Until the beginning of the 1970s it maintained its pure philosophical form of always putting man at the center, under the proposition that 'the public mass decides everything'.
From the analysis of the documents regarding Kim Il Sung's Juche Ideology mentioned above, its paradoxes and shortcomings are evident. In the new world unraveling before us today after the historical summit talks in 2000 and the subsequent successfully held 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, we have reached a point where we are in need of pursuing change. North Korea however, failing to abandon its 'cold-war' survival methods of adhering to 'our way of socialism' and developing nuclear weapons, intentionally maintains antagonistic relations with the South.
In spite of these policies of the North Korean Regime, our government continues to pursued peaceful coexistence through the Sun-shine Policy. To achieve these goals, our new administration must strive to overcome the barriers of over half a century of distrust through reconciliation and peaceful measures.
