地域開發 戰略에 관한 硏究 : 光州廣域圈을 中心으로 = (A) Study on the Regional Development Strategy

Regional Development has directly been approaches within the situation of National Land Development in Korea. But there were various problems such a s the discord of the politic, Economy and Society overall emerged by the inevitable development strategy of the government in the process. In the position t h a t rational view of current Regional Development should be established for the Regional Development's ultimate goal, improvement of living of community residents, this research of development strategy of the Regional Development takes the new recognition of the emerged problem in the previous process of Regional Development and the approach to the new development direction.
This research arranges previous plans and policies through analysis and evaluation emphasizing on theoretical consideration and policy function. Strategy of and financial situation are analysed, and the policy direction for Regional economy activity and the strategy of Regional Development are researched especially, within the KwangJu Broad Zone.
Since World is moving in the Market Economy represented by Freedom and Open today, community residents' development desire can be gratified and their spontaneous participation can be expected by focusing on KwangJu zone's competitive power, establishing a long term development plan for creative vision, and showing a new role and policy for cosmopolitanization and globalization.
Most of all, local autonomous entity should make efforts for the amplification of investment source that functions smooth linking between policy, plan and operation in Regional Development, and effective operational policy in financial area should be taken.
Local autonomous entities' positive efforts and government's big policy consideration are required for more active regional development projects in the situation that new regional development demands come out following the change of society. It is hoped that more depth research will be constructed in the area that this research could not cover.
