Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara (IKN), is being developed under a smart forest city concept, requiring rehabilitation of eucalyptus-dominated production forests into a diverse Kalimantan tropical forest. Initial interplanting covering 804 hectares (2022) showed spatially uneven survival rates upon 2024 evaluation, yet rehabilitation planning has historically relied on generalized criteria rather than systematic environmental analysis. This study models the spatial variability of forest rehabilitation performance in IKN by integrating field-based survival rate data with remote sensing and topography-derived environmental variables (NDVI, NDMI, LST, elevation, slope), analyzed using a Generalized Linear Model (GLM). Results show a mean survival rate of 0.795, with NDVI emerging as the dominant and statistically significant predictor (coefficient = 10.24, p 〈 0.001), followed by a smaller but significant slope effect. The model achieved strong explanatory power (Pseudo R² = 0.852; RMSE = 0.140), although binary classification performance was limited (AUC = 0.536), reflecting the continuous, gradient-like nature of rehabilitation success rather than model inadequacy. Spatial extrapolation produced a continuous survival-probability map revealing landscape suitability gradients rather than uniform outcomes. These findings support adaptive, site-specific forest rehabilitation planning and underscore the value of retaining existing vegetation structure as a nurse environment to advance IKN's ecological resilience goals.
