With the rapid development of digital technology, mobile applications have gradually become important platforms for the dissemination of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and public participation. In this context, systematically exploring the influencing factors of user experience in ICH mobile applications and constructing a scientific evaluation system are of great significance for improving application quality and enhancing communication effectiveness. This study adopted a mixed-methods approach. First, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted to construct a preliminary user experience indicator system. Second, the Delphi method was employed to establish expert consensus through multiple rounds of evaluation and revision. Third, based on questionnaire survey data (N = 297), Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was applied to identify latent dimensions and construct a theoretical model. Finally, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted using 346 valid samples to empirically validate the model and examine its scientific validity and stability in terms of model fit, reliability, and validity. The results revealed a user experience framework consisting of six dimensions: System Usability Experience, Interactive and Immersive Experience, Cognitive and Learning Experience, Aesthetic Perception Experience, Cultural Identity Experience, and Social Co-creation Experience. The framework includes 24 secondary indicators and systematically explains the formation mechanism of user experience as well as the structural relationships among the dimensions. Although the proposed model was validated in this study, several limitations remain. The research samples were primarily collected within the Chinese context, which may limit the cross-cultural applicability of the model. In addition, the study mainly focused on mobile applications and lacked in-depth comparisons across different platforms. Future studies are therefore needed to further refine the model in multicultural and multi-platform environments and improve its applicability and explanatory power by considering the characteristics of different user groups. In conclusion, this study identified the key factors influencing user experience in ICH mobile applications and constructed a corresponding evaluation indicator system. The findings provide a reference for the design and evaluation of ICH mobile applications and offer both theoretical and practical implications for the digital dissemination of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the optimization of user experience.
