Development and Effects of an Interactive Web-Based Bone Health Promotion Education Program for Middle-Aged Vietnamese Marriage Migrant Women Hyeon Na Advisor : Prof. So-Hyun Moon Department of Nursing, Graduate School of Chosun University Purpose: This study aimed to develop an interactive web-based bone health promotion education program for middle-aged Vietnamese marriage migrant women residing in South Korea and to evaluate its effects on osteoporosis-related knowledge, self-efficacy, preventive behaviors, and clinical biochemical indicators of bone health. Methods: A quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Participants were 37 middle-aged Vietnamese marriage migrant women (experimental group, n=17; control group, n=20). Data were collected from December 2025 to January 2026. The experimental group participated in an 8-week web content-based bone health promotion education program incorporating interaction, including bilingual (Korean and Vietnamese) YouTube educational videos, YouTube comments, KakaoTalk group chats, OX quizzes, dietary self-monitoring, photo sharing, and individualized feedback, whereas the control group received a bone health information leaflet. Osteoporosis-related knowledge, self-efficacy, and preventive behaviors were assessed using structured questionnaires, and serum calcium, alkaline phosphatase, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D were measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the χ² test, Fisher's exact test, the -vii-ii independent t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA. Results: TThe experimental group showed significantly greater improvements in osteoporosis self-efficacy and preventive behaviors than the control group. Osteoporosis-related knowledge improved over time in both groups, but no significant group-by-time interaction was observed. No significant group-by-time interaction effects were found for serum calcium, alkaline phosphatase, or 25-hydroxyvitamin D. Conclusion: The interactive web-based bone health promotion education program significantly improved osteoporosis self-efficacy and preventive behaviors in middle-aged Vietnamese marriage migrant women. These findings suggest that the program can be used as an effective nursing intervention to promote bone health among marriage migrant women. Future studies should employ randomized controlled trials with larger and more geographically diverse samples, longer follow-up periods, and objective bone health measures, such as bone mineral density, to verify the long-term effects of this program.
