경찰의 성인지 감수성과 폭력 허용도가 교제폭력 대응방식에 미치는 영향 = The Impact of Police Officers' Gender Sensitivity and Violence Tolerance on Their Response to Dating Violence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

논문개요（초록） 경찰의 성인지 감수성과 폭력 허용도가 교제폭력 대응방식에 미치는 영향 본 연구의 목적은 교제폭력 사건에 대한 경찰관의 대응 태도에 영향을 미치는 심리적 변인을 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 서울경찰청 소속 지역 경찰 및 여성청소년과 경찰관을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종적 으로 173명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 수집된 데이터는 SPSS 27.0을 사용해 분석하였다. 교제폭력 대응 태도를 예측하기 위하여 다항로지스틱 회 귀분석과 이항로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인지 감수성의 하 위 요인인 성평등 의식과 성역할 규범은 교제폭력 대응 태도에 일관되게 유 의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 성평등 의식이 높을수록 적극 적 대응을 선택할 가능성이 증가하였으며, 전통적 성역할 규범이 강할수록 소극적 대응을 선택할 가능성이 높아지는 경향이 확인되었다. 둘째, 폭력 허 용도는 일부 상황에서 대응 태도와 유의미한 관계를 보였으나, 전반적으로 일관된 변인으로 작용하지 않았다. 셋째, 사법적 개입 단계에서 피해자 보호 조치 실시 여부를 분석한 결과, 폭력 허용도가 높을수록 보호조치를 실시할 가능성이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 성인지 감수성 변인은 유의미한 영향 을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 교제폭력 사건 대응에 있어 경찰관의 성인지 감수성이 핵 심적인 심리적 요인으로 작용함을 시사하며 연구 결과를 토대로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점, 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대하여 논의하였다. 주요어 : 교제폭력, 경찰 대응 태도, 성인지 감수성, 폭력허용도, 피해자 보호조치

ABSTRACT
The Impact of Police Officers' Gender Sensitivity and Violence Tolerance on Their Response to Dating Violence

The purpose of this study was to examine the psychological variables influencing police officers’ response attitudes toward dating violence cases. To this end, a survey was conducted among patrol officers and officers in the Women and Juvenile Affairs Division affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and data from 173 participants were utilized for the final analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0, employing multinomial and binary logistic regression analyses to predict response attitudes toward dating violence.
The major findings of this study are as follows. First, among the sub-factors of gender sensitivity, gender equality awareness and gender role norms consistently exerted significant influences on response attitudes. Specifically, higher levels of gender equality awareness increased the likelihood of choosing active intervention, whereas stronger traditional gender role norms were associated with a greater likelihood of passive responses. Second, although violence tolerance showed significant relationships with response attitudes in certain contexts, it did not function as a consistently significant predictor overall. Third, regarding the implementation of victim protection measures during judicial intervention, higher levels of violence tolerance were associated with a lower likelihood of implementing such measures, whereas gender sensitivity did not show significant effects at this stage.
These findings suggest that gender sensitivity serves as a pivotal psychological factor in police responses to dating violence. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of this study, as well as suggestions for future research, are discussed.
