Magnetic van der Waals materials are of significant interest due to
their unique magnetic structures and potential for practical device
applications. Their weak interlayer van der Waals bonding facilitates
easy exfoliation to the two-dimensional (2D) limit, enabling the
observation of novel magnetic phenomena absent in the bulk and
facilitating device miniaturization for integrated, high-performance
applications. However, as the thickness decreases, the magnetic signal
strength diminishes sharply, rendering conventional bulk
magnetometry techniques, such as SQUID-based MPMS, ineffective
for micrometer-scale samples. Typically, Hall-effect transport
measurements or optical probes are employed to detect magnetism in
these systems; yet, transport measurements require electrical
    conductivity, limiting their applicability.
To address this limitation, graphene-based magnetic sensors have
emerged as a promising alternative. Graphene's hexagonal honeycomb
lattice and exceptional charge mobility near the charge neutrality point
allow it to sensitively detect changes in magnetic environments,
despite not being a conventional conductor. Building on recent
successes in measuring the AC magnetic susceptibility of
ferromagnets such as Fe3-xGeTe2 using graphene Hall-bar devices,
this study reproduces those measurements on Fe3-xGeTe2 and further
demonstrates that the same platform can reliably measure the AC
magnetic susceptibility of the van der Waals antiferromagnet FePS3,
whose DC susceptibility signal is more than two orders of magnitude
    smaller than that of Fe3-xGeTe2.
