This study aimed to explore the experiential processes through which Bicultural Identity Integration (BII) among second-generation Korean American adolescents influences Career Decision Self-Efficacy (CDSE), drawing on the learning experiences pathway of Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT). To this end, a multiple-case qualitative study was conducted with eight male second-generation Korean American high school seniors residing in the United States. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using within-case and cross-case analytic procedures. The findings indicate that participants’ experiences of BII extended beyond the mere coexistence of two cultures; instead, they continuously shaped how participants interpreted and utilized learning experiences. Specifically, BII influenced the ways in which participants made sense of success and failure, responded to expectations and advice from significant others, and perceived their cultural background as a resource in career-related decision making. These experiences, in turn, were intertwined with mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, and social persuasion, functioning as driving forces in the formation and strengthening of CDSE. In particular, positive perceptions of cultural resources emerged as a key factor in clarifying career goals and sustaining commitment to chosen career paths. Based on these findings, this study presents the relationship between BII and CDSE as a concrete experiential process rather than a fixed causal link. By providing a qualitative elaboration of the learning experiences pathway of SCCT, the study contributes to a more nuanced understanding of career development among bicultural adolescents and offers practical implications for career counseling and educational settings serving youth from bicultural backgrounds. Keywords Bicultural Identity Integration (BII); Career Decision Self-Efficacy (CDSE); Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT); Learning Experiences; Second-Generation Korean American Adolescents
