영성지도 경험의 현상학적 연구 : 개신교 목회자를 중심으로 = A Phenomenological Study of Spiritual Direction Experiences : Focused on Protestant Pastors

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 영성지도에 피지도자로서 정기적으로 참여한 개신교 목회자들 의 경험과 의미를 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구 참여자는 개신교 목회자 5명이며, 자료는 개인마다 두 차례의 일대일 심층면담을 통해 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 Giorgi의 현상학적 방법론에 따라 분석되었다. 연구결과, 5개의 핵심주제와 8개의 공통상위주제가 도출되었다. 핵심주제는 <수용적이고 편안한 환경>, <하나님 사랑 체험>, <자신과 하나님에 대한 앎의 확장>, <관점의 변화와 분별>, <전인적 성장과 회복>으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 영성지도가 목회자에게 안전한 공간을 제공하고 하나님 사랑의 체험을 토대로 목회자의 전인적 변화, 성장, 회복으로 나아가도록 함을 드러내 준다. 본 연구는 영성지도가 목회자의 영적성장을 촉진하며 번아웃 예방을 위한 실천적 대안으로 활용될 가능성을 제시한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and meanings found in spiritual direction. I focused on Protestant pastors’ experiences. The participants were five Protestant pastors who participated regularly in spiritual direction as directees. The data were collected through two rounds of individual in-depth interviews with each participant. I analyzed it using Giorgi’s phenomenological methodology. As a result, five core themes and eight common superordinate concepts were identified. The core themes were identified the following: experiences of a receptive and comfortable environment, experiences of God’s love, expansion of understanding of self and God, perspective change and growth in discernment, and holistic growth and restoration. These findings indicate that spiritual direction provides pastors with a safe and supportive space and facilitates holistic growth and restoration grounded in the experience of God’s love. Thus, I suggest that spiritual direction stimulates pastors’ spiritual growth and has the potential to serve as a practical alternative for the prevention of pastoral burnout.
