변형발톱에 대한 형태관리가 전기고령자의 관리만족도와 행복감에 미치는 영향 : 강원특별자치도 거주 전기고령자를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 강원특별자치도에 거주하는 전기고령자(60~74세) 252명을 대상으로 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리가 관리만족도와 행복감에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석함으로써, 전기고령자의 삶의 질 및 정서적 안정에 기여할 수 있는 학술적 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리의 하위 요인인 전문성, 경제성, 심미성이 관리만족도와 행복감에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 관리만족도는 행복감을 증진시키는 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 지금까지의 연구결과를 연구문제 1, 2, 3을 전제로 요약하면 다음과 같다.

<연구문제 1> 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리가 전기고령자의 관리만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아본다.
변형발톱에 대한 형태관리의 세 가지 하위 요인(전문성, 경제성, 심미성)은 전기고령자의 관리만족도 하위 요인(신체적 만족도, 감정적 만족도, 사회적 만족도) 모두에 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 형태관리의 전문성, 경제성, 심미성이 높을수록 전기고령자의 신체적, 감정적, 사회적 만족도는 모두 높아졌다.신체적 만족도에 미치는 영향에서는 형태관리 요인 중 심미성의 영향이 가장 높았으며(β=.413), 다음으로 경제성(β=.293), 전문성(β=.199) 순으로 신체적 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 외형적인 개선과 통증 완화를 통한 기능적 회복이 신체적 만족에 가장 중요한 요인임을 시사한다.
감정적 만족도에 미치는 영향에서는 형태관리 요인 중 경제성의 영향이 가장 높았고(β =.438), 전문성(β =.268), 심미성(β =.148) 순으로 감정적 만족도에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 합리적인 비용과 효율적인 관리(경제성), 그리고 이를 뒷받침하는 전문적인 기술력이 심리적 안정감과 내면의 만족감을 형성하는 데 핵심적인 역할을 함을 보여준다. 사회적 만족도에 미치는 영향에서는 형태관리 요인 중에서도 경제성의 영향이 가장 높게 나타났으며(β =.454), 다음으로 심미성(β =.218), 전문성(β =.152) 순으로 사회적 만족도에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 경제적이고 효율적인 관리로 신체적, 심리적 부담이 줄어들고 외형적 자신감이 회복되어 적극적인 사회 활동 태도로 이어진 것으로 해석된다.

<연구문제 2> 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리가 전기고령자의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 알아본다.
변형발톱에 대한 형태관리의 세 가지 하위 요인(전문성, 경제성, 심미성)은 전기고령자의 행복감에 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
형태관리 요인 중 경제성의 영향이 행복감 증진에 가장 크게 기여했으며(β =.377), 전문성(β =.268), 심미성(β =.137) 순으로 행복감에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
이는 형태관리를 통해 기능 회복, 통증 완화, 외형 개선을 얻을 때, 특히 합리적인 비용과 시간적 효율성(경제성)을 통해 삶의 질에 대한 긍정적 평가가 이루어지며, 궁극적으로 행복감 증진으로 연결된다는 것을 의미한다.

<연구문제 3> 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리의 관리만족도가 행복감에 미치는 영향을 알아본다.
변형발톱에 대한 형태관리를 통해 형성된 관리만족도의 세 가지 하위 요인(신체적 만족도, 감정적 만족도, 사회적 만족도)은 모두 전기고령자의 행복감에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
관리만족도 요인 중 사회적 만족도의 영향이 가장 높았으며(β =.354), 다음으로 신체적 만족도(β =.248), 감정적 만족도(β =.167) 순으로 행복감에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 변형발톱 관리로 인해 외형 개선 및 기능 회복을 넘어, 대인관계에서의 자신감 상승과 사회 구성원으로서의 활발한 역할 수행(사회적 만족도)이 전반적인 삶에 대한 긍정적인 평가와 만족(행복감)으로 이어지는 핵심 경로임을 보여준다. 이로써 연구에서 변형발톱에 대한 형태관리가 전기고령자의 신체적 불편 해소뿐만 아니라 관리만족도를 매개로 정서적 만족감과 행복한 노후 생활에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 점이 실증적으로 입증되었다. 특히, 형태관리의 경제성은 관리만족도의 모든 하위 요인과 행복감에 걸쳐 중요한 영향력을 발휘하는 것으로 확인되어, 전기고령자의 특성을 고려한 합리적인 가격 정책과 효율적인 관리 시스템 구축의 중요성을 시사한다. 또한, 관리만족도 중 사회적 만족도가 행복감에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 보아, 형태관리가 고립감을 줄이고 사회적 자신감을 향상시켜 전기고령자의 활발한 노년 활동을 지원하는 중요한 복지 서비스의 역할을 할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study empirically analyzed the effect of Shape Care for Deformed Nails on Care Satisfaction and Happiness among 252 ‘the Young-Old’ (ages 60-74) residents of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. The aim was to provide academic evidence that could contribute to the quality of life and emotional stability of ‘the young-old’. The results showed that the sub-factors of deformed nail shape care—Professionalism, Economical efficiency, and Aesthetic appeal—all had a positive influence on both Care Satisfaction and Happiness. Furthermore, Care Satisfaction was confirmed to play a mediating role in promoting happiness.

A summary of the research findings based on the three research questions is as follows:

Research Question 1: To examine the effect of Shape care for Deformed Nails on the Young-Old's Care Satisfaction.
The three sub-factors of deformed nail shape care (Professionalism, Economical efficiency, and Aesthetic appeal) were found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on all sub-factors of the young-old's care satisfaction (Physical Satisfaction, Emotional Satisfaction, and Social Satisfaction). In other words, higher levels of professionalism, economical efficiency, and aesthetic appeal in shape care led to higher levels of physical, emotional, and social satisfaction among the young-old.
Effect on Physical Satisfaction: Among the shape care factors, Aesthetic appeal had the highest influence (β =.413), followed by Economical efficiency (β =.293) and Professionalism (β =.199). This suggests that aesthetic improvement and functional recovery through pain relief are the most critical factors for physical satisfaction.
Effect on Emotional Satisfaction: Economical efficiency had the highest influence on emotional satisfaction (β =.438), followed by Professionalism (β =.268) and Aesthetic appeal (β =.148). This demonstrates that reasonable cost and efficient care (Economical efficiency), supported by professional expertise, play a core role in forming psychological stability and inner satisfaction. Effect on Social Satisfaction: Economical efficiency also showed the highest influence on social satisfaction (β =.454), followed by Aesthetic appeal (β =.218) and Professionalism (β =.152). This is interpreted as reasonable and efficient care reducing physical and psychological burdens, restoring confidence in one's appearance, and leading to a more proactive attitude in social activities.

Research Question 2: To examine the effect of Shape care for Deformed Nails on the Young-Old's Happiness.
The three sub-factors of deformed nail shape care (Professionalism, Economical efficiency, and Aesthetic appeal) were found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the young-old's happiness. Among the shape care factors, Economical efficiency contributed most significantly to the promotion of happiness (β =.377), followed by Professionalism (β =.286) and Aesthetic appeal (β =.137). This means that when functional recovery, pain relief, and aesthetic improvement are achieved through shape care, a positive evaluation of the quality of life is made—especially through reasonable costs and time efficiency (Economical efficiency)—ultimately leading to an increase in happiness.

Research Question 3: To examine the effect of Care Satisfaction from Deformed Nail Shape care on Happiness.
The three sub-factors of care satisfaction formed through deformed nail shape care (Physical Satisfaction, Emotional Satisfaction, and Social Satisfaction) all had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the young-old's happiness. Among the care satisfaction factors, Social Satisfaction had the highest influence (β =.354), followed by Physical Satisfaction (β =.248) and Emotional Satisfaction (β =.167). This shows that the care for deformed nails goes beyond aesthetic improvement and functional recovery; the resulting increase in confidence in interpersonal relationships and active role fulfillment as a member of society (Social Satisfaction) is the core pathway that leads to a positive overall assessment of life and satisfaction (Happiness). The study thus empirically proved that shape care for deformed nails not only resolves the young-old's physical discomfort but also positively influences their emotional satisfaction and happy later life, mediated by care satisfaction. In particular, the Economical efficiency of shape care was confirmed to exert a significant influence across all sub-factors of care satisfaction and happiness, suggesting the importance of establishing reasonable pricing policies and efficient care systems that consider the characteristics of the young-old. Furthermore, the fact that Social Satisfaction among the care satisfaction factors had the greatest impact on happiness suggests that shape care can serve as an important welfare service, reducing social isolation and boosting social confidence to support the young-old's active later-life engagement.
