Today's modern industrial society is in a rapidly changing competitive environment, and accordingly, the beauty industry must restructure the organization to meet the needs of the times and establish advanced differentiation strategies. In addition, in order to secure a competitive advantage, changes and innovations that strengthen the internal and external capabilities of members of the organization are required, and the role of individual members is emerging as an important factor to actively respond to these changes.
In addition, the actual work ability of an individual member of an organization is determined by the degree to which knowledge or skills are acquired for the job and the motivation to improve work performance. In order for these roles to succeed, the practical skills of hair and beauty workers are required. With the rapid progress of- 109 informatization and knowledge socialization, creative thinking and action are required from members of the company, innovative and creative personal competencies are emerging as important assets of a company, and in a business environment with high uncertainty, an unco ventional and continuous spirit of challenge enables long-term growth and survival of the organization. The beauty industry is highly dependent on humans, and the technology and services provided by beauticians have a great influence on work performance. Therefore, in this study, it can be seen that they are important factors as a positive correlation with the mediating effect of confidence in the relationship between the practical ability and work performance of hair and beauty workers. For this reason, we would like to examine the mediating effect of confidence in the relationship between the practical ability and work performance of hair and beauty workers. In previous studies, a positive correlation has been reported suggesting that confidence is an important factor between practical ability and work performance, but studies that clearly clarify the mediating effect are insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to provide basic data for the future development of the beauty industry by performing an empirical analysis on adult male and female beauty workers to verify the mediating effect of confidence in the relationship between practical ability and work performance, and to identify the influencing relationship between each variable.
The sample survey for analysis was conducted on hair and beauty workers, and the subjects of the direct study were filled out using a- 110 self-filled questionnaire method.
The results of this study are summarized as follows.
First, as a result of examining the general characteristics of the survey subjects, gender was "girl," age was in their 20s, marital status was "unmarried," final academic background was "university enrollment/graduation," rank was "intern/partner," and salary was "less than 2 million won. "
Second, as a result of examining the work characteristics of thesurvey subjects, the number of employees was 'less than 5 to 10', the type of work was 'five-day week', the type of salon was 'medium salon (less than 10), the type of salary was 'fixed salary', and the number of years worked was 'less than 1 to 3 years'.
Third, as a result of examining the practical skills, confidence, and validity and reliability of work performance of hair and beauty workers, practical skills were derived from three factors: 'scientific practical skills', 'ethical practical skills', and 'personal practical skills', and confidence and work performance factors, and all derived factors were explained as more than .60% of the total variance, indicating that they were reliable.
Fourth, as a result of examining the differences in practical ability, confidence, and work performance of hair and beauty workers according to general characteristics, there were partially significant differences. Fifth, as a result of examining the correlation verification of eachvariable, it was found that it was correlated with all factors.
Putting the above research results together, it was found that it was adopted as having a significant influence on the factors of 'practicalability', 'confidence', and 'work performance', and'confidence will mediate the relationship between practical ability and work performance' was partially adopted.
This study examined the final self-image along with the empirical analysis of the practical ability, work performance, and confidence of hair beauty workers, and through this, attempted to verify themediating effect of confidence in the relationship between the practical ability and work performance of hair beauty workers.
In addition, the purpose of this study is to apply it more widely to the beauty industry through confident behavior in order to improve the direction of authentic self-development and quality of life for a desirable organizational culture. In addition, more in-depth use of the confidence of hair and beauty workers is needed, and it is also necessary to establish an organizational culture by inducing various support or active participation in order to maintain and lead the right relationship with the members of the organization.
Through this study, the importance of practical skills, work performance, and confidence of hair and beauty workers was verified, and the influence relationship between variables was also verified to have theoretical value to be discussed as academic development.
However, since the research subjects of this study are limited for hair beauty workers, research between various variables on confidence should be continuously conducted in the future, and a measure of confidence suitable for the subject should be developed. In addition, it is judged that research on the extent to which the exercise ofconfidence is effective in various organizational environments is also meaningful. It is considered necessary in the future to suggest the direction of the appropriate hair beauty industry by comprehensively considering the internal situation of the organization that is undergoing rapid changes from the rapidly changing external environment.
