Urban Planning Integration strategies for Stregthening urban Disaster Response Capacity: Focus on urban flooding Choi myeongSin Advisor : Prof. Song Chang-Yeong, Ph.D. Department of Disaster Prevention & Safety, Graduate School of Gwangju University This study aims to improve the ability to respond to urban disasters through an integrated approach to urban planning and disaster management planning. Current urban planning systems often operate independently to reduce the risk of disasters, through which policies are fragmented, space management is inconsistent, and disaster preparation and response are limited. To solve these problems, this study proposes an integrated approach planning method that improves the consistency and operational linkage between higher court plans. An analysis of the legal structure was conducted for urban and disaster-related matters. This includes reviewing overseas cases and studying domestic urban disaster cases. We propose a risk assessment framework that considers disaster resilience in the urban planning process. Strengthen cooperation among execution departments and improve to a data-driven decision-making system. Establish an integrated plan and present an action plan to strengthen professional competence. Research has shown that the legally related system can adjust the planning target cycle. By enabling precautionary disaster risk management, it is possible to prepare for urban disasters. Urban planning and disaster planning contribute to urban development by presenting strategic proposals and institutional directions for implementing the integrated plan. This proposal can improve disaster resilience in urban environments facing disaster and disaster risk I expect that there will be.
