    본 연구의 목적은 여성 프로 골퍼를 대상으로 드라이버와 아이언 스윙 시 체중이동에 따른 지면반력 기반 회전 전략의 차이를 스윙 구간별로 비교·분석하는 것이다. 국내 여성 프로 골퍼 14명을 대상으로 드라이버와 7번 아이언 스윙을 수행하게 하였으며, 분석 변인은 클럽 및 공의 결과, 수행 시간, 운동학적 변인, 운동역학적 변인으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 골프 스윙은 백스윙과 다운스윙으로 구분하여 시간 정규화하였고, 정규화된 연속적 변인은 통계적 매개변수 매핑(Statistical Parametric Mapping, SPM)을 이용한 대응표본 t-검정을 실시하였다. 단일 값 변인은 대응표본 t-검정을 적용하였으며, 모든 분석의 통계적 유의 수준은 α = .05로 설정하였다.
    연구 결과, 드라이버는 아이언에 비해 클럽헤드 스피드와 캐리 거리가 크고, 어택 각도는 드라이버가 상향(+), 아이언이 하향(–)으로 상반된 특성을 보였다. 수행 시간은 드라이버에서 백스윙, 다운스윙, 전체 시간이 모두 더 길었으며, 특히 백스윙 구간에서 차이가 크게 나타났다. 반면 신체 분절의 최대 각속도와 운동학적 순서 타이밍은 두 클럽 간 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않아, 여성 프로 골퍼는 클럽 조건이 달라져도 동일한 스윙 메커니즘을 유지하는 경향이 확인되었다. 다만 드라이버 스윙에서 스탠스를 더 넓혀 기저면 내에서 신체 무게중심의 좌우 및 수직 이동 범위가 증가하였다.

    The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze differences in ground reaction force-based rotational strategies related to weight transfer between driver and iron swings in female professional golfers across different swing phases. Fourteen Korean female professional golfers performed swings with a driver and a 7-iron. Variables included club and ball outcomes, swing time, kinematic variables, and kinetic variables. The golf swing was divided into the backswing and downswing and time-normalized. Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) was used to perform paired t-tests on the normalized continuous variables. For scalar variables, paired t-tests were performed, and the significance level was set at α = 0.05.
    The driver produced significantly higher clubhead speed and carry distance than the 7-iron, while attack angle showed opposite patterns, with an upward (+) angle for the driver and a downward (–) angle for the 7-iron. Swing time time was longer for the driver across the backswing, downswing, and total time, with the largest difference observed during the backswing phase. In contrast, no significant differences were in peak segmental angular velocities and kinematic sequence timing, suggesting that female professional golfers maintain a consistent swing mechanism across clubs. However, during the driver swing, a wider stance increased the lateral and vertical displacement range of the body’s center of mass (CoM) within the base of support.
    Kinetic analysis showed that, For the lead foot, the driver swing exhibited greater target-away mediolateral GRF (FY) during the early backswing (0–17%) and mid-downswing (36–69%) than the iron swing. Vertical GRF (FZ) was greater in the driver swing during the early downswing (7–19%), whereas it was greater in the iron swing during the late downswing (82–100%). At the trail foot, anterior–posterior GRF (FX) was greater for the driver during the late backswing (66–100%) and early downswing (0–24%), whereas it was greater for the iron during the late downswing (70–98%). Medial–lateral GRF (FY) at the trail foot was greater for the driver during the early backswing (0–25%), whereas it was greater for the iron during the transition (backswing 97–100% and downswing 0–25%), indicating club-specific horizontal force-control strategies during the transition. Vertical GRF was greater for the driver during the early downswing phase (0–25%). For free moment(FMZ), the driver showed a greater counterclockwise moment at the lead foot during the late backswing (69–100%) and early downswing (0–2%), whereas the iron showed a greater clockwise moment during the late downswing (89–100%), including impact. No significant differences were found at the trail foot.

In contrast, the driver showed a greater counterclockwise (+) pivoting moment during the late backswing (91–100%) and downswing (0–68%), suggesting a strategy to generate larger rotational torque to drive segmental rotation. The GRF moment() was similar between clubs, but the driver showed a greater clockwise GRF moment during the late downswing (91–100%), including impact. In addition, during the mid-downswing, the timing of the YZ-plane GRF resultant and the moment arm differed between clubs. This indicates that weight-transfer strategy depends more on the timing of changes in GRF and moment arm than on absolute force magnitude, thereby enabling efficient generation and modulation of similar rotational moments.
    These findings support interpreting weight transfer not simply as a shift in the center of pressure, but as a timing strategy for generating rotational moments through coordinated modulation of the ground reaction force and the moment arm. Furthermore, in coaching practice, this suggests the importance of training focused on weight transfer timing and ground reaction force utilization, rather than modifying swing form for each club.
