It achieves an organic fusion of tradition and modernity in its musical language, narrative structure, and character portrayal. This study takes Imongsan as its research subject, employing a combination of literature review, musical analysis, and comparative research methods. Seven core arias from the opera are selected as analytical samples to systematically investigate its artistic characteristics and cultural connotations. The findings reveal that the work integrates folk music elements from Shandong with modern operatic techniques in its melodic composition, forming distinctive features characterized by "thematized folk motifs and dramatized vocal melodies." In terms of harmony and polyphonic design, it inherits Western tonal logic while incorporating national harmonic vocabulary, thereby enhancing the music's dramatic tension and ethnic flavor. Narratively, it constructs a dual narrative system that balances the collective and the individual, as well as military-civilian relations and female perspectives, through the innovative path of "Three Breakthroughs and Three Establishments." This paper argues that Imongsan not only realizes the modern transformation of national opera under the concept of “preserving tradition while innovating,” but also provides a referential pathway for the creative practice of Chinese opera. Its artistic achievements embody the unity of national character, contemporaneity, and aesthetic value, holding significant academic and cultural importance.
