서주금서(徐州琴書)의 예술적 특성과 전승·발전방안 연구 = A Study on the Artistic Characteristics, Inheritance,and Development of Xuzhou Qinshu

As a national intangible cultural heritage, Xuzhou Qinshu is a representative form of local performing arts in the border region of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui. Research on its artistic characteristics and inheritance not only holds significance for cultural preservation but also for artistic innovation. Xuzhou Qinshu integrates various cultural elements such as the Xuzhou dialect, folk customs, and local music, vividly reflecting the regional culture of Xuzhou, and serves as a successful example of cultural and artistic management.
This study delves into the artistic features and inheritance development of Xuzhou Qinshu. First, it provides a detailed analysis of its artistic characteristics. Musically, its melodies are rich and varied, incorporating elements of local folk music, with distinctive rhythms and harmonies. The use of accompanying instruments perfectly complements the vocal performance. In terms of performance, it combines narration, singing, and acting, with performers bringing stories to life through vivid language, expressive facial gestures, and flexible movements. Regarding literary content, the repertoire covers a wide range of themes, often drawn from folk tales and historical legends, imbued with strong everyday life and regional characteristics.
Second, by examining the current state of Xuzhou Qinshu’s inheritance, the study identifies several challenges, including a shrinking audience, a shortage of inheritors, and limited channels for dissemination. To achieve sustainable development, the study applies the 7Ps marketing strategy and SWOT analysis to propose practical measures. These include strengthening its promotion and teaching in schools to cultivate young audiences, expanding dissemination channels using modern media technologies to enhance visibility and influence, and improving inheritance mechanisms by providing greater support for inheritors.
This research aims to offer theoretical references for the preservation, transmission, and innovative development of Xuzhou Qinshu, helping this outstanding traditional folk art to flourish with renewed vitality in the new era.
