19세기 말 ~ 20세기 초 일본의 조선 지리정보 구축과 활용 연구 = A study on the construction and utilization of Korean geographic information in Japan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries

This study examines how the "Korean geographic information" developed by Japan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries was utilized for its expansion into and colonial rule of Korea, through real-world examples. From 1872 to 1918, Japan steadily focused on building "Korean geographic information" by conducting reconnaissance and surveys of Korea, producing reports, producing maps, and publishing geographic books. This study specifically examines the relationship between this information and the projects Japan pursued, as well as its uses.
