그리스도교 초대 교육 문헌 『디다케』(Διδαχὴ)와 『교육자』(παιδαγωγός)에 나타난 교육적 의미 고찰 : 예비자 교리교육을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초대 교회 시대의 예비자들을 위한 교리교육을 고찰하고자 한다. 교리교육은 예수 그리스도께서 사도들과 교회에게 명하신 중요한 교육 의무 중 하나였다. 그러나 당시의 박해와 여러 어려움 속에서 예비자들을 위한 교 리교육은 결코 쉽지 않았다. 이러한 혹독한 환경 속에서도 교회는 예수 그리 스도의 명령, 즉 구원의 말씀을 전파하고 모든 민족에게 복음을 전하라는 사 명을 완수하기 위해 예비자들과 동료 그리스도인들을 위한 교리교육에 우선순 위를 두었다. 예비자들을 위한 교리교육은 어려움에도 불구하고 계속되어 왔다. 이러한 교리교육의 어려움은 오늘날 교회에서도 여전히 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 과거의 교리교육을 살펴보는 것뿐 아니라, 당시 교리교사들의 도움과 해결책을 모색하는 것이다. 본 연구는 초대 교회 시대에 예비자들을 가르치는 데 사용되었던 두 가지 문헌에 초점을 맞출 것이다. 연구 대상은 교리교육에 관한 가장 오래된 그리스도교 문헌으로 여겨지는 『디다케』(Διδαχὴ)와 『교 육자』(παιδαγωγός)이다. 두 문헌은 여러 면에서 차이가 있지만, 예비자들이 하느님을 배우고 그리스도인 생활을 따르도록 도와주는 목표는 성공적으로 달 성되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 초대 교회 시대의 이러한 문헌들을 살펴보고 교 회의 교리교육 발전에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 주제어: 디다케, 그리스도, 교육자, 스승, 교리교육, 예비자

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the catechesis for catechumens during the early Christian Church era. Catechesis has been one of the important educational duty commanded by Jesus Christ through the Apostles and the Church. However, catechesis for catechumens weren’t easy with persecution and such difficulties during that time. Even under harsh circumstances, the Church has given priority in catechizing catechumens and fellow Christians to fulfill the command of Jesus Christ in spreading the Word of salvation and to evangelize all nations.
Catechesis for catechumens have continued although difficulties followed. That hardship in catechesis is even happening in today’s church as well. So the purpose of this study is to not just examine the catechesis of the past but also seek plausible solutions and advice from the catechists of the past. This study will focus on two early Christian literatures used in catechizing catechumens of their time. The two Christian works of interest here are 『Didache』(Διδαχὴ) and 『Christ the Educator』(παιδαγωγός), which are considered as the oldest existing Christian text concerning catechism. Although both works are somewhat different in some aspects, their goal to help catechumens learn about God and follow the Christian life has been achieved well. So this study will look into these works of the early Christian Chruch era and find ways that can contribute the welfare of the Church’s catechism.
