This study aims to explore the impact of transformational leadership of university presidents on organizational effectiveness in Chinese private universities, and to examine the mediating roles of organizational learning capacity and organizational commitment in this relationship. The research employs SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 26.0 structural equation modeling to analyze data from 550 faculty and staff members in Chinese private universities. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on organizational effectiveness, and that organizational learning capacity and organizational commitment play significant mediating roles in this relationship. Specifically, transformational leadership enhances employees' learning ability and organizational commitment, which in turn indirectly promotes overall organizational effectiveness. These findings provide theoretical support for leadership research and practice in Chinese private universities, emphasizing the crucial role of leaders in driving organizational change and improving organizational effectiveness. The study suggests that university leaders should focus on developing transformational leadership, enhancing organizational learning capacity, and strengthening employee organizational commitment to achieve sustainable development and competitiveness.
