In this study, domestic and international unit water content regulations were investigated and the unit water content of cast-in-place concrete was evaluated. There was no significant difference in unit water content control and unit water content measurement methods between Korea and Japan. As a result of calculating the unit water content of concrete brought to the site through the air meter method, there were cases where the unit water content exceeded the appropriate unit water content standard due to the inconsistent and variable unit water content. In order to control the quality of cast-in-place concrete, it is important for ready-mix concrete companies, construction companies, and inspectors to adhere to strict standards about unit water content. In addition, it is judged necessary to establish a more systematic and practical system, including providing a clear unit water content measurement manual, thorough training, and periodic on-site inspection.
