빈곤이 청소년의 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 : 부모지원의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The effect of poverty on the career maturity in adolescence : the mediating effect of parental support

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 빈곤이 청소년의 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 그 과정에서 부모지원의 매개효과를 분석하는 것이다. 진로성숙도란 진로를 선택하는 과정에서 얼마나 자신에 대해 이해하고 판단하며 이를 반영할 수 있는지를 의미한다. 본 연구에서 사용한 데이터는 한국복지패널 중 아동부가조사를 시행했던 13차(2018) 조사에 참가한 중학생이며, 결측치를 제외한 348명을 분석하였다. 매개효과 분석을 위해SPSS 20.0과 SPSS PROCESS MACRO Ver. 4.2를 활용하여 매개효과 분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과, 빈곤은 청소년의 진로성숙도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 주지 못했다. 반면, 매개변수인 부모지원에 대한 빈곤의 영향력과 진로성숙도에 대한 부모지원의 영향력이 통계적으로 유의미했다. 이를 통해 빈곤과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 부모지원이 매개효과를 갖는 것을 확인했다. 이러한 연구결과는 빈곤이 단순한 경제적 어려움을 벗어나 청소년의 미래적 진로발달에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 보여주 어, 빈곤 정책에서 다차원적인 빈곤을 고려한 부모지원 정책이 병행될 필요성을 제시하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of poverty on the career maturity of adolescents and to analyze the mediating effect of parental support in the process. Career maturity refers to how much you can understand, judge, and reflect on yourself in the process of choosing career. The data used were from the KOWEPS(Korean Welfare Panel Study)'s 13th(2018) survey and its additional surveys on children. 348 middle school students samples were used. To analyze mediating effect, SPSS 20.0 and SPSS PROCESS MACRO Ver. 4.2 were utilized. As a result, poverty did not have a statistically significant direct effect on the career maturity. On the other hand, the influence of poverty on parental support and parental support on career maturity were statistically significant. This showed that parental support had a mediating effect between poverty and career maturity. These outcome shows the possible detrimental effect of poverty on adolescents’ futuristic career development. This study suggests the poverty policy introduce policy measures to promote parental support, considering multi-dimensional features of poverty that goes beyond simple economic deprivation.
