The unstoppable globalization requires humans to learn how two and more different cultures can reach harmony and balance to be able to coexist. This study is significant for such a mission as understanding the acculturation of a group of immigrants, whose experience is different to the majority of newcomers. In this study, I intend to examine through interviews how Kazakh undocumented workers perceive, cope with cultural differences and acculturate in South Korea. Aiming to fill the lack of research about the such immigrant group’s acculturation process, I aim to analyze the acculturation process in that group of immigrants and how media presence is reflected in J.Berry’s acculturation model. Main findings suggest that along with the Korean social and health resources availability and some similarities between Kazakhs and Koreans, the latest mediascape is a game changer for those immigrants. Immigrants' experiences with media increase help them to maintain their own ethnic identity and interact with the host society, which are considered as an important factors of acculturation. This study is navigating immigration organizations to help all the immigrant groups adapt in a new society through media tools.
