학사관리 통합인증 플랫폼 구축을 위한 ID Federation 적용 방안에 대한 연구 = A Study on the Application of ID Federation for Establishment of Integrated Certification Platform for Learning Management

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 코로나19로 학생들의 학습권 보장을 위해 온라인 강의 및 실시간 화상강의 등 비대면 학습 활성화 시대가 열렸다. 특히 교육 서비스를 이용하기 위한 사용자들이 많아지고 그만큼 이용하는 사이트와 관리해야 할 사용자 계정들은 증가했다. 사용자들은 서비스를 이용하기 위해 수많은 사이트의 계정 관리와 사이트마다의 인증을 받아야만 한다. 사용자는 수많은 사이트 계정 관리와 인증에서벗어나 정보자원과 서비스에 신속하고 안전하게 접근해 이용할 수 있는 기반이 마련되어야 한다.
교육 및 연구기관에서는 사용자들이 좀 더 안전하고 다양한 교육 서비스를 공유하고 제공하기 위해 사용자 ID/PW 정보가 소속기관 한 곳에서 안전하게 관리되며 추가로 사용자 정보를 보관하지 않는 신뢰 기반 서비스 ID Federation 사용자 인증시스템의 사용이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다.
ID Federation 사용자 인증시스템을 교육기관 중 대학에 적용했다. 대학 간 교육 공동 교육과정 운영, 학점인정 운영체제 지원 등으로 정보 활용 및 공유를 위해 대학 간 강의 및 학점인정 등을 통한 학사관리 통합인증 시스템으로 소속 대학의 사용자 계정으로 인증받고 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 학사관리 통합인증플랫폼을 구축함으로써 사용자들은 더 이상 수많은 계정 생성 및 관리와 사용자인증을 하지 않게 된다.
ID Federation 기반의 학사관리 통합인증 플랫폼을 운영하기 위해서는 참여기관 관리자들에게 그에 따른 전문성이 요구된다. 서비스 제공자(Service Provider, SP)는 통합인증시스템 구축을 위한 관리자 교육과 시간 소모도 상당하다.
본 학위 논문에서는 사용자, 서비스 제공자, 관리자 모두가 쉽고 빠르게 ID Federation 기반의 학사관리 통합인증 플랫폼 구축 방안에 대해 다루고자 한다.
더 나아가 기존에 있는 자원과 새로이 생성된 자원의 결합을 통한 서비스도 창출할 수 있다. 서비스 가입 기관에 설치된 무선랜을 상호 인증 절차를 거쳐 공동 활용하는 무선랜 로밍 Federation eduroam과 IdP(Identity Provider)를 연계해 강의실 내 설치된 무선AP에 기록되는 위치기반서비스를 이용한 전자출결시스템도 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

Recently, the era of activating non-face-to-face learning such as online lectures and real-time video lectures has opened to guarantee students' right to study due to COVID-19. In particular, the number of users to use
educational services has increased, and the sites used and user accounts to be managed have increased. Users must manage accounts on numerous sites and obtain site-specific authentication to use the service. Users
should be able to quickly and safely access and use information resources and services away from numerous site account management and authentication.
Education and research institutes are actively using a trust-based service ID Federation-based user authentication system in which user ID/PW information is safely managed in one institution and user information is not stored in order to share and provide more education services to specific users.
The ID Federation user authentication system was applied to universities among educational institutions. Users will no longer create, manage, and authenticate numerous accounts by establishing an integrated academic
management authentication platform that can be certified and provided with their university's user accounts through lectures and credit recognition to utilize and share information.
In order to operate an integrated certification platform for academic management based on ID Federation, managers of participating institutions are required to have expertise accordingly. Service providers(SP) also
consume considerable amount of time and training for managers to establish an integrated authentication system.
In this thesis, we would like to discuss ways that users, service providers, and managers can easily and quickly establish and use an integrated certification platform for learning management based on ID Federation.
Furthermore, it is possible to create a service through the combination of existing resources and newly created resources. It is expected that an electronic attendance system using a location-based service recorded in a
wireless AP installed in a classroom by linking the wireless LAN roaming Federation edeuroam and IdP, which jointly utilizes wireless LAN installed in a service subscription institution through mutual authentication process.
