대학생의 발달과정상의 정서적 외상 경험이 전위 공격성에 미치는 영향 : 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 아동기 정서적 외상 경험이 전위 공격성에 영향을 미치
는 과정에서 내면화된 수치심의 역할을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를
위해 선행연구들을 바탕으로 아동기의 정서적 외상의 경험이 전위 공격성과의
관계에서 내면화된 수치심이 매개를 나타내는지 검증하고자 하였다. 연구의 대
상은 전국 소재의 대학생으로 이를 위해 온라인으로 연구 참여자를 모집하였
다. 응답을 한 만 18세 이상, 만 27세 미만의 대학생 성인 남녀 416명의 자료를
바탕으로 위계적 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구를 위해 사용된 측정도구로 아
동기 정서적 외상, 내면화된 수치심, 전위 공격성에 관한 자기보고식 질문지를
사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 빈도분석과 기술적통계, 상
관분석을 실시하였고, PROCESS Macro 3.3의 부트스트랩핑으로 매개효과 검증
을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 먼저, 아동기 정서적 외상의 경험과 전위 공격성과의 관계
에서 정적상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 아동기 정서적 외상 경험
과 내면화된 수치심은 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 정서적 외상의
경험이 직접적으로 영향을 미치고 내면화된 수치심을 통해 간접적으로도 영향
을 미치는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구결과를 통해 아동기의 정서적 외상 경험이
전위 공격성과의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심의 심리적 기제에 대한 이해를 넓히
고, 전위 공격성에 대한 상담적인 개입과 정서적 외상 경험으로 인해 발생되는
정서적인 어려움을 예방하는데 기초 자료로서 활용될 것이라 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims to explore the role of internalized shame between college
students’ childhood emotional trauma and displaced aggression. To this end,
based on the previous literature, it attempted to verify whether internalized
shame exhibits a mediating effect in the relationship between childhood
emotional trauma and displaced aggression. The survey group was college
students from all over the country, and the survey participants participated
online. A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted with the data of
416 respondents aged between 18 and 27. A self-report questionnaire on
childhood emotional trauma, internalized shame, and displaced aggression
was used as a measurement tool for the study. For the collected data,
frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis were
carried out using SPSS 21.0, and the mediating effect was verified by
bootstrapping of PROCESS Macro 3.3.
The results evidenced a positive correlation between childhood emotional
trauma and displaced aggression. Next, it showed there was a partial
mediating effect for childhood emotional trauma and internalized shame,
which implies that emotional trauma affects not only directly but also
indirectly through internalized shame. This study suggests that
understanding the psychological mechanism of internalized shame needs to
be broadened in terms of the relationship between childhood emotional
trauma and displaced aggression. It is hoped that it can be used as primary
data to provide counseling intervention for displaced aggression and prevent
emotional difficulties resulting from emotional trauma experiences.
