The purpose of the research is to propose a teaching model for
TCEM inheritance education in Chinese universities, including causal
factors, intrinsic driving factors, guiding factors, guarantee factors,
implementation achievements of the inheritance and development of
TCEM in Chinese universities. Before the research, the researcher
reviewed the relevant literature on the inheritance and development
of Chinese TCEM, including the crisis of inheritance, the theoretical
basis of cultural inheritance, the characteristics of cultural
inheritance, the mediums of cultural dissemination, the forms of
education on TCEM, and the way of inheritance and development of
TCEM in colleges and universities, etc. The researcher interviewed
25 teachers engaged in TCEM education and 4 prominent members
of the community engaged in TCEM design, affiliated with 16
universities, 4 enterprises and research institutes. I collected more
than 220000 words of interview data and papers related to the
inheritance of culture and education of ethnic minorities and public
reports on various activities related to TCEM held by various
colleges and universities.
To understand the inheritance and development of TCEM in
Colleges and universities, the researcher investigates the current
status of the inheritance and development of TCEM in Colleges and
universities, The results include how to guide students to identify
TCEM. whether the inheritance and development of TCEM has been
listed in the school's teaching development plan, and which specific
measures should be conducted for future development.
Participants generally reflect the need to cultivate students'
identity of TCEM so that they can be motivated to pass on TCEM.
To inherit TCEM in colleges and universities, it is necessary to
clarify the characteristics of TCEM in the talent training program,
establish a teaching team of TCEM, develop teaching materials and
set up courses. From the setting of training objectives — Classroom
Teaching — internship practice — comprehensive application, through
this process, the dissertation determines the methods and Strategies
of inheriting TCEM in Colleges and universities. The development of
TCEM in colleges and universities needs to let TCEM into modern
life, let TCEM glow with new vitality, and become a part of modern
people's life. The development of TCEM in colleges and universities
requires the spread and promotion of "academic" inheritors
cultivated in Colleges and universities, so that more young people
can understand, appreciate and consume TCEM and become its
public group.
Based on the interview data, this study uses the grounded theory
to carry out the data analysis, sums up 49 concepts, refines them
into 5 categories, and continues to gather them into 4 main
categories. Finally, it concludes a core category: the degree of
College Students' identification with the traditional culture of ethnic
minorities.
The current status of the inheritance and development of ethnic
minority traditional culture in colleges and universities is causal
factors; Environmental infiltration and multicultural education are the
guiding factors; The identity of TCEM is the internal driving factor;
The establishment of the curriculum system of TCEM is the
guarantee factor for the inheritance of TCEM in Colleges and
universities; It is the inevitable result of the inheritance and
development of TCEM in Colleges and universities to cultivate
"academic" inheritors of TCEM.
Concerning the links of the factors in the model, the five
categories are clarified in five stages. The first stage focuses on the
cause of the research. The second stage is concerned with guiding
factors that influence educational outcomes. The third stage focuses
on the intrinsic driving factor related to individuals after the second
stage. The fourth stage emphasizes the guarantee factor which
validates the role of higher education institutions on TCEM
inheritance education. The fifth is related to the implementation
achievement of the fourth stage. Finally, the teaching model of the
inheritance and development of TCEM inheritance education in
colleges and universities is constructed.
